SS praying wasn’t really showed in any context except Holika dahan. Despite being abandoned by his mom, he said that he never really asked for anything before. It shows he lost his faith and hope, until he met Anokhi.

As for Anokhi , she’s always been shown as someone who usually prays to a Goddess. It’s important to point that here because of the irony. In the land that worships goddesses is where there’s a lot of female oppression and patriarchy.
