I have always believed mother is not a gender exclusive term. Mother is an emotion.
Anyone who can nurture someone else, love and care for someone else unconditionally is a mother for me. She/he doesn’t have to have given birth.

More than umbilical cord, it’s the connection of heart to heart. Where you want someone to be happy despite everything.

BM is not a mother. She is a warden.
