Chapter 4

M - Yes beautiful. U missed me? And what exactly is this? Don't tell me u were sitting with these guys by choice.

P - Man.. Mandhar... Its nothing like that. They don't have anything to do with me. Just leave them. We were just leaving.

M - No.. No. Wait for some time now. Won't u introduce me to ur friends here. Its not good manners u see. Ok let me introduce myself first.I m Mandhar Deshmukh and this college's trustee is my father. So basically I own this college. Now.. Its ur turn. So who the hell r u?

Raghav kept his gaze to his food and it felt like the events on his horizon are non-existent to his purview.

M - I asked something. R u deaf or what... Who the hell r u?

F - No... don't just don...

But Farhad was late to stop mandhar and Mandhar's hands racing towards Raghav's collar were halted in between and the next meeting Mandhar realized himself to be having was with the dust on the floor. The backhand slap whipped Mandhar's smirk and turned his internal Dileep kumar on as he was clutching his motherland the very next second.

Pallavi was shocked by what just happened. The side stooges tried attacking Raghav but a left hook to one, Gut punch to another and a slam on table to the third turned whole situation patriotic as all were kissing their motherland. Only a background music of "Mere desh ki dharti..."was left to play.

Raghav get his jacket from the chair, threw a bundle of cash over fallen bodies and started walking out.

F - I tried to stop u. But no one ever listen to me. U should have known u were talking to Raghav Rao... u fools.

Pallavi stepped forward to follow Raghav.

M - Raghav.... Raghav Rao...

Mandhar huffed trying to get some distance between himself and the ground.

M - Oh... Ohkey... I should have known its u. I should even be thankful that u didn't kill me like u usually do... right Raghav?

Raghav's steps halted. Pallavi too stopped and turned to see what the hell Mandhar was saying.

"Kill him. why he said so? Did he kill someone?"

F - Shut ur mouth u low life.

Farhad rushing towards his anna.

F - Anna... just don't listen to him. He is just blabbering. Lets leave. We have to go.

R - Don't follow me.

F - But anna...

Raghav gave a stare and pushed farhad aside. He stepped out of the door and Farhad knew he can't follow him to the place he will be going. But Pallavi don't have any such idea and she sure didn't gave too hoots about it.

"He killed someone and dad wanted me to marry him. I need to know whats the truth and did dad knew it?"

Pallavi moved outside quickly and saw Raghav rushing towards car. She ran after him but before she can catch him... he drove off.

P - Auto... auto... just follow that car... Fast.

The car entered the Rao mansion and Pallavi stepped off the auto and started moving towards the gate.

G - Sorry mam... U can't enter like this. Who do u want to meet?

P - I m Pallavi Sawant and I have to meet Raghav so just move out of the way.

G - Sorry Mam... sir don't entertain any guests. Please step aside.

Pallavi started to feel frustrated as her mind was wavering in all direction.

"Is he alright? He should be fine right. Y he just stepped out without any reply?"

G – Mam Please Go.

P - Listen u fool... I m Pallavi sawant and very soon I will be Pallavi Raghav Rao. Its our engagement today evening and I need to meet my fiance. So u better get aside or the next thing u will be seeing is a termination slip.

The anger and ferocity in her voice set the guard back. Leave the guard it set herself back.

"Pallavi Raghav Rao. R u serious? Idiot... what the hell r u saying and how can u talk to someone like that. U should apologise now."

P - list...

G - Mam U can go in, just don't inform Sir that I stopped u please.

Guard was sweating to his toes on seeing the fire he just heard.

P - No problem and sorry I scolded u. I was a bit tensed.

G - No problem Mam.

Guard thanked his heavens and she dashed through the main gate.

"I am here but y? He said that he will cancel engagement right... my work is done. Y I need to meet him. I need to see him, I need to see if he is alright. Shut up Pallavi. U r thinking too much. But wherein this mansion will I find him."

She went up the stairs and walked around not knowing what and y of the situation.

"This is officially the most idiotic thing I have ever done. Y do I care if he is..."

She heard some gasp from a room and her thoughts broke.

"Raghav.... No..."

She dashed towards the sound. Her feets almost finding its own way and just in seconds she entered the room where Raghav was lying on the floor staring at the ceiling... gasping for breath of air. His last breath of air.

P - Raghav......

Chapter 5

P - Raghav... Raghav...

Pallavi tried to shake him while shouting his name.

"He is having panic attack. What to do? Think pallavi think. Yes.... heat. Rub his hands."

She started rubbing his hands and patting his back. Still there didn't seemed to be any improvement. His eyes kept staring at the ceiling and his chest seemed to have fallen down. It looked like a call from the claws of eternal love was about to grasp his life. There was no hope. There was no light. His eyes starting to went down to the abyss of eternal darkness he carried within him for so long. His eyes closed. And the fire burning his entire existence from that dreadful day started engulfing him.

That day.

Amma - (coughing) Raghav.. where is Raghav? call him.

It was her condition for years now. That dreadful day when for a simple fever the so called highly qualified doctor gave the strongest of medication. The medicine made it worst and burnt her kidneys to the point that nothing remain same from that day onwards.

She started remaining unwell and her health keeps on deteriorating. He saw her multiple time in ICUs. Hospital visits become regular and her amma was never out of pain from that very day. Even in that condition she did what only a mother can do. Someone truly had god on their tongue when they said a child never needs any favor from God because their God lives by them in the form of the divinity incarnate, their mother. She remained in pain for years but it was never ever if she missed out on any of her duty as the soul of her has the image of her family and she made his house... home. His dad always stood by her and he saw what everyone say about Lord Rama and Lady Sita in front of his eyes.

"But I m me right. How can I think about anything or anyone but myself. I knew she was in pain. I knew all along. I knew she was alone. She called me every day. She was there alone when I was out enjoying, partying with my friends. She told me she was alone and she felt dying is better than living but I ignored and y because I have my life to live. She was crying. She was in pain. She called out to me. She called out to me so many times. But I ignored. I have my life and I ignored. She even called me that day and I behaved like I always behave. I didn't talk to her. She was calling me home. She wanted to see me. She wanted to see me for the last time but I was too busy with my life and she gave up the fight. The call stopped. Her worries stopped. Her pain stopped. Her breath stopped. Her breath... stopped. Her breath stopped. Y m I breathing now? I stopped her breath. I ended her will to live. I ended her hope. I put an end to her. I killed her. So Y m I the one who is living. I killed her."

R - I killed herrrr.......

His eyes opened and the roar sounded off. Pallavi was taken aback and his eyes pushed her further. It was pure rage, guilt, pain, sadness, every emotion she found missing in his eyes was right in front of her and the sight terrified her heart.

"What is he holding on to? What can be there so terrifying which can cause so much pain? His eyes r saying everything but what has made him into this whatever is in front of me."

The pure pain gave the rage but the sadness collapse the body. His pain gave him push and his sadness sunk his heart. The chest start to clinch. His heart start felling cold. The breath not able to keep up gave up the try. And his body fell out of strength on the floor. The sight could have been devastating to some but it was pure beautiful for him. As he felt the final destination.

"She called me but I didn't answered. I m answering now amma. We will meet now Amma. We will meet."

And with that his body collapsed to the floor.

Chapter 6

Pallavi was pacing around the campus main gate. She was looking at the main gate again and again but in swarm of students a face was missing for which she was waiting from the morning.

K - Di... Y r u pacing around? Its of no use. They are running late. Farhad messaged that they will take another 15 mins to reach here. U can wait and anyhow Y u need to talk to them? What happened that day when u went behind him?

Pallavi just looked at her and started pacing again. She completely ignored Krishna's question and kept looking at main gate when he saw a familiar face. She rushed to Raghav and just stopped before his face. He stopped.

"Is it right time and place to talk? But I need to clarify then Y to wait. Is he angry? How come his eyes have nothing ever?"

She kept thinking to herself without uttering a single word. Raghav kept his gaze towards her and then turned and moved ahead by her side.

K - Di... he is going. U had to talk, ask whatever. U wanted to see him right. So speak.

Pallavi gets out of his thought and noticed that he left.

"No shit."

F - Pallavi... R u alright? And Y were u panicking on phone? What happened yesterday? Anna was not well I know but how come u were at our home and what happened to anna?

P - Did he said anything?

F - Anna... he never says much. U tell what happened. Dad never left his side yesterday for whole night. Please tell. I m confused.

P - Nothing. I went to ur house for Dad's work. Just saw him sick so called u. Nothing much.

F - R u sure? Only thats what happened?

P - Farhad... Krishna... Leave for ur class. I too need to go.

"He didn't said anything. Of course Y would he. Nothing happened right?"

She wandered into the class lost in her thoughts. Mrs. Sharma gave a glance but she was lost in her thoughts.

T - Good Morning Pallavi Mam...

She was brought to her sense by Mrs. Sharma's voice.

P - Mam... Good Morning Mam.

T - Will u please do us all a favor and take ur seat.

P - Sure... sure Mam.

She raced to her seat and sat. She turned a bit to see and he was sitting there. The next forty-five minutes what happened she don't had any idea as the only thought running on her mind was that she needs to confront Raghav. As the teacher left the class, she went to his seat and stood there. Raghav looked at her and signaled to move. But she stood her ground and when the class got empty she asked.

P - U know it wasn't intentional but medical procedure....right?

R - Medical Procedure?

"So he talks now... good."

P - Yes... If someone has issue in breathing its done. U should know. Its very common. Its called...

R - Mouth to mouth resuscitation?

P - Yes... so u know. So we r clear it was just a medical procedure nothing else. Don't get any ideas.

R - Ok.

He started to leave when held back to his seat by her.

P - What ok? U get it right? Else u start thinking anything bad about me. I m not that type of person. So don't take it any other way.

R - Sure.

He again tried to move but she pushed back.

P - What is this ok... sure. U get it right. I m not the person going around kissing any random guy while he is suffocating in front of me. I m telling u jus...

K - U guys kissed???

Her words paused. Her body went cold.

"Krishna."

F - So this was what u wanted to discuss with anna. About ur kiss.

"No... No... No... Not him too."

She turned looking nervously towards two of them.

P - Its not like what u guys are thinking.

K - Ohkey... so what r we thinking and what was it like. Care to explain.

P - Krishna shut up.

F - Anna... U should have at least told me.

Raghav stared at Farhad and he zipped his mouth. Pallavi turned towards Raghav impressed with his control over his brother.

P - Farhad... It wasn't like that. Ur anna suffered a panic attack and suffo..

F - What? Panic attack again? Anna y u didn't told me. Dad kept on asking but I had no info. And Y again. It was over right?

P - Again?? So it happens regularly?

She threw the enquiring tone to Farhad.

F - Yes Pallavi. Its li..

R - Farhad...

Raghav thundered. And the room went silent. Farhad knew its no playtime and his anna means business.

Raghav turned to Pallavi.

R - Get out of my way now and stop crossing my way or else it would end up very badly for u. I know girls of ur kind. Bloody gold digger. Get lost.

His voice had all the rage. Pallavi was shocked. She never thought all those times looking at his empty eyes that the first emotion she will see in them will be of anger. Her eyes tried to hold on but a tear pushed out. Her eyes had water. His eyes raining fire.

Raghav moved ahead and walk out of the class with Farhad following him leaving her standing there.
