Me too. It's been done to death in a hundred shows and is often pointless. Besides, they aren't yet at that point where they'd pine for each other. They make think of each other and miss their interactions but not have that longing yet because there aren't at that stage in their 'relationship'. It's not meaningful to have a separation and I'd rather they didn't have one, period.
