I feel like it’s a difference in vulnerability too. If male leads don’t put down their mask in front of their female leads, then it’s hard to root for the couple. SAAKK just got to the vulnerability stuff first because their story is after the love story too. MHRW is in the leads discovering the vulnerabilities and falling in love after.
