@ Bold : That's true obviously, babe. Until you love yourself, it's hard for you to love someone else. Despite what romance novels tell you, a partner does not magically erase your problems. And unless you learn to love yourself, it's not possible for you to accept that someone else loves you.

But if your instinct ever tells you to give someone or something a chance, do it. Even if it doesn't work out, it's a regret that you'll never have.

It was a cliche love story - he was the sports captain(left a football scholarship to pursue medicine), I was a nerd - valedictorian, debate team type. Had my first kiss in the rain, said I love you in front of the entire cafeteria before running off for a practical exam☺️🤣Lots of hiding from parents, sneaking around, long distance relationship etc.

Little things like - he sat for three hours in the same position and fought to keep people quiet when I fell asleep in his lap during a movie marathon or came to my city to surprise me on my birthday when I was pissed off at him, cleaned me up and never complained when I was upset and drunk and threw up on him and messed up his bathroom when we were dating

Danced on a romantic song on the beach where he proposed, fought against my entire family for 2 years before they relented and we got married.

Been together for fifteen years now. Never a dull moment though.
