That is true to some extent. He is softening in his actions for sure. But a streak to protect Raavi has always been there. He pushes her away but always looked out for her.

I so totally loved the Haldi scene where he flung in to save her from that stray piece about to hit her and then hid it behind.

Shiva is always guarded with his emotions when it comes to her. Maybe, a defensive mechanism to reiterate his notion of hating her.

I wonder if he's being nicer with her because his conscience is allowing him to slowly acknowledge his protective instincts for her, now that he's her husband. I have a theory the wedding acted as a sort of galvanizing event, his feelings, whatever they might be, have been pouring out with lesser resistance. He seems less bothered about filtering his thoughts each passing day. I like the naunced progress.
