I dont remember if shaurya gave her a choice to choose in between him and cambridge or even if he did may be she wasnt able to decide at the moment and shaurya took it as a yes.

I think I was trying to prove your statement that even someone like Shagun who might look empowered as she is apparently smart, rich , pretty, had opportunities to study abroad and is responsible for empowering next generation of humans as their teacher caters to regressive thought process and looks down on those who want to break the cycle like Anokhi. What hope can we have for improvement in society and why blame the guys (Shaurya and others), she will teach her son exactly what Devi taught Shaurya and the cycle will continue.
