I don’t think Jaya is marrying Pallavi to Raghav just for the reason that she is able to shut her son up. She might be seeing that as an added bonus but I feel yesterday’s scene between Jaya & Aayi is what has made her take this decision. It’s more of the understanding of what a widow has to face alone in this society. If you see, she was thoughtful to hear that Pallavi is Aayi’s DIL and as a woman who has faced the same situation in life, she understood and acknowledged all Aayi’s concerns. Her statements were from her own experience of life - ‘ek point ke baad insaan thak hi jaatha hai’. The loneliness of carrying all responsibilities and burden alone in life. And again the statement - ‘kal dubara bhi ho saktha hai’. Once bitten, twice shy. We can see where Raghav gets trusts issues from. Life has thrown so much hardship, she doesn’t trust anyone and anticipates that things might go wrong again. She understands that Pallavi might have so many wishes and she is still young, her whole life is ahead of her. It was such a poignant discussion between two mothers, for a girl her parents will always be there but in order to continue her life in this society a partner has to be there who can be there for her after her parents, who can share her happiness and sorrows and be there for her. Absolutely loved how they introduced Pallavi’s past to Jaya ji, a mother’s open concern for her DIL who is more dear to her as a daughter. Jaya placing her hand on Aayi’s hand was the moment she had made her mind to give Pallu the life she needs. For us Anna is a don and not the right humsafar who Aayi was talking about, but for Amma her son is not someone who has always been cruel. He has got his goodness which he hides behind his atrocities and Amma knows once he gets settled, he might change his ways. Today Pallavi shutting him up and standing up for him was all an added bonus for her confirmation that Pallavi is the right choice for Raghav. As a mother she feels, Raghav will get back to the right way after marrying Pallu and Pallavi will get the partner and life she deserves. And to talk to foolish people like Raghav, only blackmail works. Like Amma says, I am Raghav Rao’s Amma. She knows how to make her son bend to her wishes.

She definitely should and I agree that she don't have any right to make Pallavi 's decision.

But I think, she will talk to aai after if she gets a yes from her son. Let's see!

Farhad warned him don't do anything with half truth but still raghav went a head and maligned that he and pallavi was having an affair.. he completely destroyed her dignity and character.. raghav mom knows because of his son pallavi was destroyed, she went apologized and took her to their home.. she knows the character assianation which his son have done to pallavi so she is trying to fix it with their marriage.. she knows her son is mistaking pallavi high time and that's why she laughed at his foolishness also told that she don't want to waste her energy to make him understand because he already decided pallavi is wrong.

She can also see how strong pallavi is and sure keerthi would have told a lot about pallavi.. she was very impressed and she decided both deserve each other..

She is not in position to ask his willingness because he done the damage which no one can rectify.. he needs to undergo what he have done, no choice.. this marriage will make both of them to understand who they are really instead of assumption and misunderstanding piling up between them..
