As you girls know I have been watching IPK and it made me realize Mishti wasn't the first FL of sitara to be treated that way. 😆 man, what did they made khushi do and suffer from? Despite all that and whatever she had to put up with, she stayed cheerful and happy is another thing. But why is sitara so obsessed with their leading ladies being sacrificial lambs? sasural walon ke liye kuch bhi kyun karna hai 😔

I dont think shows from 2000s were like that. from what i remember kashish was feisty female lead and so were prerna (s1) or tulsi for that matter. Or was it because they were EK shows? 😲

A heavy question for a sunday evening but couldn't help asking 😆 My brain is trying to decipher the message sitara giving to young lot 🤓

Haha glad to provide the ideas for your weird obsession rn 😛 but tbh do look it up, the theories surround it over the years are both fascinating and scary. I had sworn to never travel in that region

I haven't watched the documentaries yet but I thought planes and ships avoid that region anyway

Yep Khushi was also tortured and it was mostly gul who overly glorifies her ML because of her weird obsession. Poor Khushi had a terrible childhood and taunted by everyone but only arnav's childhood issues were highlighted.

I agree sitara is giving a terrible message (but I highly doubt younger generation watches sitara anymore, it's mostly aunties). I was also reading a post on another IF forum where they said all of sp's current shows have educated and independent women as the vamps so there's that too.

At least mishti was a strongheaded girl until marriage. She set a great example for a lot of us about how to stand up for herself even if it means breaking off an engagement when she knows it's not the right rishta. How mishti was forced to bow down by the same people who once swore to be her supporter was rather unfortunate

Anyway, EK does portray her FLs as strong but her FLs have their own set of problems

I havent seen any other gul shows (assuming DMG wasnt hers) but yeah sitara has been sadist to most of their FLs it seems 🤔 and i will be relieved if less and less younger lot in india or worldwide watched that kinda concepts wherein heroines are shown so weak.

Educated and independent women as vamps? so now what, we are anti-education?

Mishti until her marriage or rather her break up, was one heck of a strong female lead ⭐️ I rooted for her to some extent in break up track too until she went and started getting pushed and all 💔 anyhow, more on that on YRHPK forum. But yeah she was one strong FL 😳

bold - you mean uska pati sirf mera hai kinda problems? 🤣 I remember i used to brace myself everytime i started watching Ek show, that whoever is introduced as hero and heroine wont end up together or wont have their first marriage to each other and that sounds so weird now 😆

I just checked, DMG wasn't Gul's show lol. Yeah Sitara is a sadist

yes, most SP vamps are shown as more educated than FLs

hahha yeah EK always shows multiple women fighting for one man. Be it the bhagyas, KZK, or even mihir tulsi back in the day 😆 yeah it does sound weird, EK's lead pair is never happy until the last episode of the show

IKR? I mean people used to get crazy for the lead pair and they ALWAYS separated them and then heroine would marry someone else, fall in love with that guy, have a kid and then somehow get back to the lead. Same happened to sujal kashish, to angad kripa and even anupre from s1 I think she stopped that from kis desh mein hain mera dil, and then pavitra rishta onwards.

Anyhow, did you watch Bepannah? Seeing so many posts about it on my twitter, thinking to give it a shot someday (after I am done with exams 😆)

I dont think they can avoid "the region" but it is not very precisely defined. But yeah, probably they try to. I think one of its end is Miami so I knew that would be off my travel destinations 😆

Anurag from KZK2 also married Komo and Prerna married Bajaj before anupre found their way back to each other 😆 So EK is still at it

I only watched a few episodes of Bepannah because the initial promos were very intriguing. I would say give it a try but be aware as I heard the story went downhill soon

oh you still have exams? when do you finish?
