No, My point was that I don't support wrong doings be it domestic violence, child marriage or polygamy in name of year and society, so when there is a track which is going towards ending a Kupratha, it should be a happy track, do you understand my point? We are not making show for people in 1920, we are in 2021
Anirudh filed petition, how can he say child marriage is wrong when he doesn't want to end his own? Or they play sad BGM when the reformer is talking about good future of young girls (Watch tonight's episode, you'll know what I am talking about), it just seemed oddly placed
Anirudh goes to stop a child marriage, what right does he have when he is practicing it himself?
Imagine, me coming to you and telling you how wrong it is not to wear a mask in public when I am not wearing it myself
I follow the show and in this show, when Anirudh filed the petition, he said now Bondita will have her own identity, what happened to that?
He filed a petition because Kaka said that there's no law to end his relationship with Bondita so I am assuming he fought the case keeping the reason for filing the petition in his mind
@Bold 2
Doubtless, Bondita will have bright future with Anirudh, would we discuss if there was no track to annul the marriage? I mean if they have introduced a track which is ending Child marriage, how can say I am in favor of Child marriage and against the act? Do you see my point?
The track wasn't there so this question wasn't there as there was no law, now they are saying that there is a law to stop it, so why would I be against a law which is stopping child marriage?
RCs are jamindars, they are powerful, It must have been difficult for Anirudh to send a woman to school, society must have been against it too but do we stop because of society? No, why is society an excuse now?
Bondita can live with RCs with her mother, her mother is her legal guardian, RCs are powerful, Bondita and Anirudh's relationship remains the same, minus the Kupratha of Child marriage
@Bold 1
I never said it
Sometimes the price for social change is personal happiness. Anirudh is facing such a situation
I always felt Anirudh filed that petition thinking about the countless girls in society who are the victims of child marriage than for Bondita. He can easily save Bondita from the swamp of child marriage. He has to only take her away from RC haveli to Calcutta or London. Their problem will be solved. But all girls out there don't have an Anirudh for their support. So for them, he made that petition.
But now he is facing the personal consequences of it.Like the Brahmo samaj people said havan cannot happen without aahuti. Society is asking to sacrifice the most important person in his life for a greater good.
And Anirudh is torn between two commitments. His responsibility towards Bondita, his promise to make her future bright and his responsibility towards society. Choosing Bondita's responsibility will give him personal happiness but his righteous mind is not allowing him to be that selfish. That is his dilemma.
About showing Anirudh and Bondita as sad, that is only natural. Whatever may be the nature of their relation, there is no doubt that they are deeply attached to each other. They are the most important persons in each other's lives. Annulment means separation. So how can we expect them to be happy to leave the most important person in their lives?!
Sometimes social reformers have to pay a heavy price to bring some change in society. They are trying to show the personal sacrifice of Anirudh and Bondita for a greater good.
Bondita cannot live with RC's without any proper relation. You know what will be the identity given to her by society. For an argument we can agree that she can live there as sampoorna's relative. But do you think people with immense self respect like Sumati and Bondita will stay there after annulment? Sumati refused to stay there with Bondita earlier as it will compromise her self respect. So Definitely they will not stay there
