He seems to be obliged to her somehow like Shaan and thatswhy tries to keep good relations with her.. Dunno whether he will directly say her about Anokhi or someone else like he told Shagun..

He feels indebt to her but he does not know that she does not really "love him". He is unaware that he is some sort of prized possession for her. As a mother figure, he probably thinks that his happiness is paramount to her since thats what she always says.
