And that's why his sentence 'ha hum ek dusre se pyar karte the' was incomplete. Shagun ke saath jo bhi tha wo different pyar tha or maybe wasnt even pyar. he needs to mention this to her clearly, the kind of love he has for Anokhi is 100 time more intense than what he has experienced and came from the deepest corner of his heart. That is something he wont be able to let go.

I think that would be insincere since he did think he loved her. It’s different that love with conditions isn’t really love. But I don’t think he should deny it.

He did say he could never love another. So he’s clear that Anokhi will be the last!
