I would have been okay if she said she was worried about Anokhi and that she might get entangled in a bad situation with Shaurya. But this is the second time she has pretended that Bhalla Senior gives a damn about his younger daughter.
Babli thinks that the father who never checked and never cared about his daughter even when there was a full blown media coverage and slurs being thrown in Anokhi's direction will care enough to react if she and Shaurya have something going on. He did not lift a finger when he knew Babli was getting abused, he did not care when he found out what Anokhi's groom intended to do with her.
She has more confidence in her abusive father and an unknown police officer who seems to have no job other than hang around Anokhi over the guy who has supported them both multiple times and is the son of Anokhi's mentor.
