I think a similar concept is applied here so there is a possibility what vyom said was true and the black box containing the details of ajay's death.

Trade secrets could also include the killings too which makes other mafia vulnerable to be caught thus endangering their mafia network .

What if Dadi wanted everything under her name and her authority but her husband named everything under Ajay's name. Till Ajay was following her orders and behaving like slave she was ok but when he started thinking about him and his children.... that's why she turned against Ajay like she did with Vansh....and was ordering Aaryan to kill them.

She doesn't care for Khandani izzat..... For her luxurious life, lots of money and everyone following her orders is important.

And Ishani is just Copy paste of her.
