So when I was very little I didn’t know wat gobi was. I once saw my friend eating it during lunch. I tried it n thought it was decent. I went n told my mom, tht I want the veg tht looks like a tree n called it paed ki sabzi. My mom laughed at me n told me its called gobi. I thought it sounded funny. N it stuck ever since. The likeness for the actual vegetable soon vanished cause my mom would make it at least twice a week. She would taunt me saying paed ki sabzi ur favorite. I would blush with embarrassment n say gobi hai. Soon I started disliking the smell too. Honestly the vegetable itself isn’t as bad but gobi paratha is.
