Today felt underwhelming after the last two epis...great analysis by everyone on those topics. :)
Firstly, on the Adi-Imlie bits. I found the kadhaa scene sweet actually! :) Exasperated Adi was telling her to leave with his back turned while tears rolled down his face...And I loved the haq with which Imlie was asking him to have the kadhaa and dawaai...bilkul patni wali feel thi usski tone mein. 😊 Even though Adi grumbled ki Imlie ko koi farak nahi padta woh jeeye ya mare, he knows that Imlie ko farak padta hai. He said this because he wanted to hear the words from her. Not that ussko farak padta hai (he knows that), but ki ussko bhi UTNA hi dard hota hai Adi se door rehke...He so badly wants reassurance from her. And Imlie KNOWS this haha, that was literally her next line! Damn, I love their unspoken communication so much. Dusre ki dil ki baat easily samajh jaate hai without the need for any words. :) Imlie's honest admission that she tries to stay away from him because she feels ashamed about not liking seeing Adi-Malini together was an attempt at reassuring him. She's telling him that she also feels unbearable pain staying away from him and assuring him that it's not because she does not trust him re. Malini. It's because she doesn't want trust herself to keep her vachan if she doesn't stay away from him. During that part, he briefly turned his face at her and the next bit was nicely analysed by you already. :) Again the convo ended on a truce. They also both don't wanna hurt Malini, but have a different approach to solving this issue and now this has become a battle of wills. Let's see who prevails. But LMAO @ Adi's I'm leaving for Mumbai....haha dono biwiyon ki emotional atyachaar se pareshaan ho ke kat lene ki tayyariya kar rahe hai Babusahib.😆 Btw as an aside, I also think Adi ko Imlie ko ek phone dena hi chahiye. Public phone se toh call karsakti hai, but in cities like Delhi I think you should keep a phone on you for safety purposes.
On the Imlie-Ts' scene! Imlie's mirror scene was all kinds of cute! Wanted to pull her cheeks there!❤️ I adored the Ts' trying to give her a little confidence boost, Nishant's advice to her about not copying others and being herself was lovely. :) Badke Kaka again is the sweetest, loved his little practical.😆 Grouchy Adi in the living room asking Imlie to touch her Sasumaa's feet was a nice touch. :)
On Prakash outing the truth. Felt an urge to console and hug Meethi there. Poor woman. :( Whole life she lived life atoning for her mistake on the hope that her daughter's life won't turn out to be the same and now her daughter is entrapped in such dire circumstances. That bit of her tossing around pooja ka saaman nicely displayed the sense of helplessness she felt as a mother by the actress playing Meethi. Well done.
Finally a few words on Didi.😛 Waise, sorry if anyone felt triggered by that gif I posted earlier. I will remove it if needed.😊 I don't think she's a dayaan (someone wanted a gif and no one was posting, so I posted it LOL)....she's just an interesting case study in psychology. I said this in an earlier thread also, that I never felt she was whitewashed or shown maahan. It's interesting now if you look back at her past behaviour, it makes sense why this is the case. I'll try to put aside my dislike for her and analyse her objectively.😆 Firstly, her monologues today showed that the purpose of her relationship with Adi was to enjoy a functional relationship in her life, one underpinned by mutual respect and honesty. She never wanted a marriage like her parents. And I have to commend her on at least choosing a man with a spine, unlike her father, haha. What let her down was her wrong outlook on what creates and drives a healthy relationship. She noticed in her parents never agreeing on anything and always fighting and rai bana li that partners agreeing and never fighting means 100% healthy relationship. The idea that relationships are maintained by asserting claim & dominance also became ingrained in her vis a vis her mom. These atrocious ideas underpinned her relationship with Adi from the start, that's why it never stood a chance. She also cultivated a very convincing sweet & understanding girlfriend facade, which was her way of suppressing her inner Mrs C and proving to herself that she's nothing like her mother. But sadly, our upbringing and genetics always has an impact on us, even if we push this impact back to the deep recesses of our psyche. That's where Malini's inner Mrs. C was hiding all along. It is now coming out in her desperation because she's tried everything and knows her sweet facade will no longer work on Adi. So her saccharine sweet behaviour was always a facade, it was her way of compensating for her unconscious reality that her soch is indeed like her mom, like the high society Delhi ladies. I guess she suppressed this side of her before because Adi gave her what she wanted then anyway and now that he is not giving her what she wants, she feels it is justified to unleash her inner Mrs C.
