Shahbaz is Slow left arm bowler, turns away from right handers, so they have to hit against the spin and that is tough in a ground that big. That's conventional cricket play. Bowl the bowler that turns away and the batsman has to hit against the turn. Another example, rashid bowling to right handers, he run riot.
2018 final is a classic example. CSK didn't score any big shots against rashid. Just 24 in 4 overs. Others bowlers went for 10+.
MI are the masters of this and that's why they win. The moment russell came Rohit employed Leg spinner chahar, krunal pandya. Russell couldn't hit against the spin due to the fear of losing wicket and eventually got stuck. That cost them the match.

Matches cant be fixed in IPL. Especially after 2013. BCCI sacrificed Sreesanth just because he received a gift. He wasn't involved at all.
