I saw an article and got to know why Sony shows arent working. The reason is because they are targetting both urban and rural audience which is why their core audience is getting pushed away. Only 1 urban show (S9MK) and all other shows are rural centric and semi urban whereas Sony audience is urban, modern and highly progressive so jab tak vo apne shows ke lineup highly modern and refreshing nahi rakhenge tab tak aisi hi sadi hui ratings aati rahegi. The mint article was published on year 2016 but it said ahead of time facts.

Ye PH puraana nahi Nilanjana Puryaksstha ka Gaatha PH hai jo Sanjeevani 1, NDTV Chandragupt Maurya, Peshwar Bajirao jaise shows banaayi thi. Par ye Gul ke saath collaborate karke Kulfi aur Happybhi banaayi thi.

Only Aarambh was flop. Prithvi Vallabh was victim of channel politics which I talked about several times earlier.

Aree this new vidrohi drama is giving me aarambh/prithvi vallab nd star bharat chandrashekhar azaad vibes thats why mai bol raha tha ki mujhe flop vibes aarahi hai .....plus PH is new so i cant trust

Aarambh was flop but Prithvi Vallabh was never flop. Its the channel which played tricks by promoting it less and chaging it's time without informing. Its stable TRP was 0.7-0.9. Then due to their constantly changing time without informing it went down to 0.4. Fir ek din to had hi kar di. 1 day there was an important March of Indian and then they showed back to back 4 episodes without informing. Its obvious log show hi dekhenge do the TRP went to 0.2 and soon show off air date came. Even the PH owner Aniruddh Pathak said in twitter he never such unprofessionalism. So Prithvi Vallabh was never par plop karvaaya gaya tha. I know this because I watched the show and was part of the forum.

Par colors mein if i am not wrong baaki serial ke actors ne shirtless scenes diye hai like in street fight, villian konsabak sikhane waqt, police lock up mein, shower ya exercise karte waqt lekin par romance mein hi dekhaye zaroori nahi

Romance ka intensity gec pe depend hota hai no doubt par i dont think ke shirtless hone ki intensity pe depend hoti hai

Ye lock up scene aur street fighting me obviously shirtlrmess scene ka requirement hota hai par bina matlab koi shirtless scene kyu dikhaayega?

Haan shaayad par ye flop hua nahi banaya gaya tha. This was doing well for Sony channel but it fell prey to channel politics. They chose safe slot of 10pm on weekend. After 15-20 episodes, they stopped promoting it enough. And then kept on changing time without informing and after that the ugly trick on cricket match. I agreed about Aarambh but for this one I won't agree it was flop on Sony as I watched it full and was aware of what all was happening.

Kuch Rang too turned like daily soap later. These all shows started dragging and then possibly showing daily soap like tracks.
