I'm much amused that she chose to call herself Ahilya when she moved onto pastures new. I'm totally seeing her staring at herself in the mirror and going, "Mirror mirror on the wall" 😆

Why did Dadi have to turn up just when the ballerina was readying herself for a pas de deux 😆 Chalo, koi baat nahin. It was a subah ka sapna after all, sach toh hokar rahega na 😉

Ahilya means one of no ugliness, or one who is of impeccable beauty. She was said to be Brahma's most beautiful creation.

I have a lauki lying in my refrigerator and when I look at it, I remember the lauki ki kahaaniyan and chuckle 😆

Shradha, Ahilya is also counted among the 5 most chaste women in Hindu scriptures.

Like Ruchi said, she was very beautiful, and Lord Indira developed a lust on her. He disguised himself as her husband Gautama Rishi and tried to seduce her. But her husband returned just at that moment, misunderstanding her, cursed her and she turned into a rock.

Later Lord Rama's feet touched that rock and she was liberated.

It is quite ironical that Urmila (who is another extremely chaste, devoted and pure woman) is calling herself as Ahilya.
