I do wonder if there is a PR team associated with the show or even individual actors. If there is one, they clearly are not doing a good job at monitoring or instructing them on how to conduct themselves on SM.

From my perspective the whole back and forth could have been averted by a simple edit by Yamini. As soon as her "Viru" post was pointed out differentiating reel and real, she should have issued a quick apology for mixing them up - edited her comment to reference Neil instead (like Aishwarya did) and moved on. Engaging with fans trying to justify their actions is just petty at this point and only aggravates things further.

On a side note (I have said this before and am going to say it again) - the timing of certain announcements or posts have just been off and takes away from the show - they really need to be smarter at promoting the show and its leads, not do damage control because that's how it seems at this point.
