But the thing is Bon was doing the calculation. Let alone a child, a average student of any age needs a bit of time to calculate it and then give the answer. Bon was in the process. But did Ani wait for it? He rushed, saying Mano can easily give the answer in a fraction of a second.
The thing about which we are talking is what exactly does Ani wants? He wants Bon to give the answer of a (big for a 4th standard student) multiplication immediately? Looks like he wants Bon to memorise the table of 23 and then multiply and not use the tiresome method of separately multiplying 2 and 3 with 25. That's why he was so happy when Bon finally mugged up the table of 23 when it is certainly not required. A basic multiplication can do the job.
