When Shaan saw he didn't eat, he came and told Shaurya that he should but that was it. He didn't bother to insist with that force. He was so taken aback when she was stern with him and immediately agreed to whatever she said I think in part because it's the first time that someone has bothered to fight him this much for his own sake.
