I think the fact that he was so proud of her for topping, how yesterday he recounted everything she went through to get to SIAC and that she shouldn't leave it for anyone, how he made her promise to never drop her education. I actually wonder if those very words will come back to bite him in the future! But you're right this is the first time some male in her life has actually been proud of her accomplishments, not belittled and thrown them aside. Now I'm emotional for Anokhi!!

His introspection about the qualities he wants in a wife will be the best part of their journey.

Imagine his state of mind:

Shaurya wants Anokhi in his life

But he wants a housewife

But the professor in him does not want his student to compromise when she is so promising

The lover in him does not want to kill the joy and dreams of his lady love

Ultimately he will give up on his ideal wife list so that he can be with her.

Soon, we will see Shaurya prejudice is deep rooted. He believes what he believes because of his mother leaving him.

But Devi here is digging her own grave. Whatever she makes him promise will be to separate Anokhi from him. He will eventually see through it and understand what is happening. He knows Anokhi, he knows that she is one person who respects herself. She will walk out of the house, the day she feels disrespected. Anokhi is Astha's reflection. Becuase Shaurya understands Anokhi's motive behind her actions, he will understand the motive behind Astha's reaction too. He might never forgive Astha for leaving, but he will eventually understand why she did, what she did.

And that will clear his life long perception of ambitious women. He will realise that even a woman who is sitting and taking care of her family can be the destroyer

That was my fav part of yesterday’s epi! He was so proud of her , the only thing missing on him was a cheerleader outfit 😝😁 ( okay scratch that... can’t imagine shaurya in short skirts and ponytails 🤣)

But on a serious note, I think KV even mentioned that he wants Anokhi’s character to shine forth even more than Shaurya’s .. and I was like that’s so professional and apt for the whole premise of the show! Any other person would feel insecure maybe but I because they are so dedicated to their craft it shows up in the scenes so well! 😍❤️❤️

Guys.. uk what.. We know Anokhi subconsciously likes him. So now, since Reema mentioned it, I feel Anokhi is going to start noticing his advances now, more than a professor. I dont think, she will avoid him, because it makes no sense to avoid him, when there is no clarity if he even likes her or not. She is just going to begin seeing the special treatment she gets.

So well put! I always felt that the fact that he is her professor will play a big role because he has seen first hand how promising she is and what a bright future she has. And we know that this phase of his inner turmoil will be so perfectly portrayed and I'm actually ready for that angst!
