From what I have tried to understand of the OG on Hotstar and people's comments. They are using the broad story lines and characters, but executing it their own way. I dont think OG leads were as passionate it seems more rondhu. Plus they had some protest and not the riots and the lead didn't save her the way Shaurya did. The apology track was also different. He actually apologized and told Kanchan he shouldn't talk of any girl like that. That's why i'm hopeful. I also did some googling of the screenplay writers and story people behind SAAKK and I saw they are veterans did Des Mein Nikla Hoga Chand and Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi,, so I'm a little hopeful they wont follow the OG - as it is.
