Methinks the more obvious explanation is that she genuinely wanted to get it out soon-ish after the show ended but was hampered by some technical difficulty, and then once the MV was announced she decided to milk the opportunity and use the buzz since it had been a while already 🤔

Personally I think they came up with this concept of reel buddies and wanted to use that then. But they didn’t have enough episodes. Hence her bank of episodes comment to me. But now they do which has tied in with the MV. But the I’ve been I’ll comment yeah no.

I also dont think the MV had materialized back then. The thing with revealing anything though is that if they didnt want to speak about something that was in the works, they wouldnt have mentioned it. They're in the industry long enough to be able to handle the IV without giving it away. if they had dropped hints, it would be because they wanted to.

Which means your theory is most likely. Although it was already almost around the 1 month mark by the time the MV was announced so she was already TOO late.
