October and November both have one same date hence I will eliminate it because X and Y know the whole birthday date and if they know then surely it's not 8th
Now we are left with three dates
Now both know it's either of the three hence we eliminate October as it has two possibilities for the one who knew only month so it's impossible for them to be so sure

No. at first they don’t know whole birthday. X knows only month and Y knows date only.
