Why not? It was Maratha Empire who drove away Mughals out of country. I think there were more rulers than Shivaji Maharaj. During Tanhaji press conference some reporter said Sharad he is playing Shivaji to which he corrected Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. This is how much respect many good rulers are getting. We have Ahilyabai on Sony but they are most probably showing fictional childhood stories to drag the show like they did with Maharana Pratap. Also why no one makes on Ahom Dynasty who were the only ones whom Mughals could never win over. Yes they can make shows about even South rulers. But all we get in the names of Indian rulers are Bajirao Mastani and Padmavat and on TV shows its only Ashoka or Chandragupta.
