Loving the way the story is shaping up .Finally the untoward incident has made both Arnav and kushi comfortable in each other’s company .kushi has shed her inhibitions and is so happy that she made kheer for Arnav. Seeing both her children happy laughing and talking with each other brought tears in Neema’s eyes. She wishes that no one cast an evil eye on her children.

Coincidentally whenever kushi had made any dish Shyam is there and then he smells her presence and now she has made kheer and he has reached Nainital not long before he reaches Arnav’s house along with Anjali.

Just hoping that kushi has not seen him lurking around the house and hence the scream. But Shyam’s days are numbered as Arnav has also received the pics of the person who according to Aman is kushi’s shyam.

Waiting for Arnav’s reaction when he sees the pics.

That was another beautiful chapter but then, how can Shyam reenter so soon into Khushi's life ? Looks like Shyam knew about Khushi's existence in Raizada house and is suspecting strongly of her relocation in Nainital, otherwise why would he be so persistent to take. Anjali to Nainital. But, looks like Khushi's good time has already come to an end...But is it not high time Shyam's double identity is out..

Why did Khushi shout?? Arnav is not able to get to see photo of shyam sharma.. hope Arnav gets to know that he is same man and Arnav ends the terror in which Khushi is living.. want shyam's story to be over asap.. meanwhile was happy to see ArShi laughing, smiling and happy.. loved the update.. Thank you 😊

Both feel so free and happy when they are together and I wonder what would be Arnav’s reaction when he sees Khushi’s husband picture.

Chapter 12

Arnav reached Khushi's room and saw khushi standing on bed all scared.

"What happened? Why are you screaming?" Arnav asked coming towards her.

"I saw him there." Khushi said pointing to a corner of the room.

"Who?" Arnav asked thinking Khushi saw her husband and was scared. Meanwhile, Niharika too reached Khushi's room hearing her screams.

"Cockroach, I saw a cockroach right there" Khushi said gulping.

"What the...Really Khushi? You scared of a tiny cockroach." Arnav said utterly amused.

"So what Arnav everyone is afraid of something." Niharika said supporting Khushi.

"What are you looking at, go find the cockroach." Niharika ordered Arnav.

Arnav searched every corner of room and after finding the cockroach Arnav threw it out of room.

"He gone now you can come down." Arnav said still disbelived that she was scared of a cockroach.

"Thank you Arnavji." Khushi said smiling as she got down from the bed.

Niharika left the room after saying good night to both Arnav and Khushi. Arnav entered his bedroom after making sure Khushi was okay and sat infront of laptop to take a look at the photo Aman had sent earlier.

"You did what I said?" Shyam asked in a hushed voice as he stood on the vast terrace of the Raizada Mansion.

"Yes boss that work done. Like you said I change photo." The person on the other end replied.

"Good and what about other work?"

"We are searching for her boss but we haven't found her yet. She seems to have vanished."

"I don't know how you will be find her but I want her as soon as possible." Shyam threatened.

"Yes....yes boss."

"Run as much as you want Khushi but I will find you." Shyam said in a menacing voice.

"I have to erase all evidence against me like I change the photo." Shyam thought as he hung up the call.

"Aman are you sure this photo you sent me is of Khushi's husband?" Arnav called Aman after seeing the photo

"I got only this photo." Aman confirmed.

"Ok." Arnav cut the call and thinking about it.

"Neema I have some work so I'm going." Arnav announced. Niharika observed Khushi's face fell as she heard Arnav. She knew Khushi was getting attached to him.

"When will you come back?." Asked Niharika

"As soon as I finish my work I will come to meet you." Arnav said looking at Khushi rather than Niharika.

"Its holi in two days, will you be back by then?" Niharika asked hoping to get some positive response from Arnav.

"You know Neema I don't like holi at all." Arnav stood up and went his room.

"What happened? Doesn't Arnavji play holi?" Asked khushi sees Arnav leaving.

"After Arnav's parent's death, he isolated himself from everyone." Said Niharika sadly knowing how Arnav is.

After bidding goodbye to Neema and Khushi, Arnav went back to Delhi and drove straight to his office.

It had been two days since Arnav left for Delhi and Khushi could not stop thinking about him and the moments they had shared. On the other hand, Arnav too couldn't stop thinking about Khushi and how her smile was contagious and made him smile too.

Holika Dahan

Arnav was feeling restless since the time he woke up. So he decided to go to Nainital to check on Khushi. It was late afternoon and he thought if he started now he would be there by evening. When he was in the living room, Payal saw him.

"Bhai where are you going?" Payal asked, as she sat working on the couch.

"I have some work. Today is Holika Dahan and you know I will not attend it so thought to complete my work." Said Arnav giving small smile.

"Ha ok." Payal said, knowing Arnav didn't like celebrating holi.

"I will come back soon." Arnav reassured her as he left.

Nainital

Khushi was helping Niharika in kitchen to make some food for the evening pooja. Khushi always felt happy and excited to celebrate any festival. It was after ages she was celebrating any festival. After her parent's death her step mother always troubled her. She was not allowed to celebrate any festival. She thought after marriage she will be happy but even that didn't happen. After marriage, her husband too did not allow her to meet anyone, let alone celebrate a festival.

It was evening and everyone was busy working for the next day's preparation. Niharika and Khushi were busy preparing for Holika Dahan. They had set-up the wood bonfire. Niharika looked at Khushi's smiling face and sent up a prayer to God to keep her happy.

"You look happy today" Niharika said seeing Khushi's happy face.

"Yes I am so excited, I am celebrating holi after so long" Said khushi doing her work.

"Why?" Asked Niharika all shock

"After my parents death I did not celebrate any festival rather I was not allowed to celebrate." Khushi said, sadly recalling her past with moist eyes.

"You know Niharikaji, every Holika Dahan, my Amma used to tell me why we celebrate Holika Dahan." Khushi said wiping her tears and smiled remembering her amma.

"Ohh acha, so tell me also why we celebrate Holika Dahan." Niharika asked to change Khushi's mood.

"On the eve of Holi, typically at or after sunset, the pyre is lit, signifying Holika Dahan. Holika Dahan is celebrated to mark the death of Holika, representing the victory of good over evil. Holika is associated with the annual bonfire on the night before Holi. People dance and sing around the fire. People also perform parikrama of fire." Khushi explained about Holika Dahan happily.

"You look so beautiful when you smile." Said Niharika cupping khushi face. At the same time Arnav reached and saw Khushi smiling, he couldn't take his eyes off her.

"Arey Arnav when did you come." Niharika said as she saw Arnav looking at Khushi. After hearing that Khushi also saw Arnav and her eyes lit up with happiness.

"I just reached here." Said Arnav glancing at Khushi.

"Ok you go to your room, we will come after completing pooja." Said Niharika. Arnav nodded and went to his room.

After some time later they lighting bonfire, doing pooja and pray for their happy life.

"This day represents the victory of good over evil. My life has also seen victory over evil and I have been given this new life. Please let this new life be filled with happiness and Arnavji's life also be filled with happiness." Khushi prayed as they performed the pooja.

"After so many years I saw Arnav smiling because of khushi. Please always keep both of them happy, and protect them from all evil." Niharika sent a quick prayer for the two lost souls who seem to have found solace st last.

In RM, Payal, Akash, Anjali, Shyam doing pooja.

"Arnav bhai always protects us, fulfill all his wishes and please protect him from bad eyes and fill his life with happiness. I don't know where Khushi is but please keep her safe." Payal prayed earnestly.

"From the death of our parents Bhai has always fought for us, gave us a better life but his life is filled with loneliness please help him find his happiness so that void gets filled." Akash wished.

"This festival represents victory of good over evil but this time evil has won." Shyam thought with a wicked smile on his face. Shyam's phone rang and he excused himself to attend it.

"Yes tell me."

"Boss we saw her."

"Where?"

"In Nainital near the old institute."

"Good, I'm coming."

"I'm coming khushi, I'm coming." Shyam said cutting the call

Coming near Anjali Shyam Said "Rani Saheba my friend meet with accident so I have to go its urgent."

"Oh my god, how is he now?" Asked Anjali

"He is in the ICU." Shyam said

"Ok take care of him and yourself." Anjali said.

"Ha ok rani saheba bye." Shyam said and started his journey towards Nainital.

Nainital

After completing pooja Khushi started arranging the things near the bonfire. Suddenly, her dupatta caught fire but Khushi was oblivious as she was busy looking for something. Arnav came to the balcony of his room and saw khushi dupatta on fire. First he was shocked and went numb. The images of the death of his parents swam in front of his eyes where they were burning and he couldn't do anything to save them. His voice seemed stuck in his throat, and he was sweating badly.

Arnav thought he had to overcome his fear. He couldn't do anything to save his parents but but this time he needs to save Khushi at any cost. He cannot let that incident happen again. Mustering up his courage Arnav ran down as fast as he coukd.

"Khushiiiiii" Arnav screamed as he ran towards her.

Khushi saw Arnav running towards her. She got confused as to why he was shouting her name.

"Your dupatta....fire" Arnav uttered panting.

Khushi couldn't understand what he was saying and looked at her dupatta. Seeing the flames on her dupatta Khushi's eyes widened and she went numb with fear. Arnav saw her freeze and snatched it from her neck and threw it away.

Arnav hugged Khushi like his life depended on her. As soon as Arnav wrapped his arms around her Khushi realized what had happened, she started sobbing, thinking if Arnav hadn't come what would hsve happened. Niharika and others came hearing Arnav shout. Niharika saw Arnav and Khushi and thanked God for sending Arnav to save khushi on time. She was also happy that Arnav had tried overcome his fear because of Khushi.

Niharika went near both of them Arnav released her and Niharika pulled her into another hug. Niharika consoled Khushi, and both of them took Khushi to her room. Arnav made her drink some water.while Niharika was caressing her back to calm her down. After laying her down on the bed both Niharika and Arnav came out of room. That night both of them could not sleep thinking about incident.

Next day (Holi day)

Khushi was searching for Arnav thinking about last night's incident. Khushi felt as if someone was watching her, she turned but could not find anyone. She again got busy searching Arnav but someone was watching her. The person came behind near her and kept his hand on her shoulder......

So finally Arnav rescue Khushi from the fire. Btw I must say now Arnav and Khushi both are happy with each other's presence. That's why Arnav can't resist himself to go to Nainital and check it out khushi's condition. When he saw Khushi is so happy his eyes got stuck on her.

Btw the person who kept his hand on Khushi's shoulder is he really Shyam ? Or shyam has send some random person ?🤔

But don't want shyam to reach out to khushi so easily. Hope so ASR comes to know about it.

About Holika Dahan you have explained everything so beautifully.

Priya, The way you made Arnav overcome his fear was good. He could not save his parents, but, he could not do it second time. He had to save Khushi.

How did Aman track Shyam Sharma? Did he use Khushi's connection in Lucknow? Is there someone else who gave Aman a wrong photo or is Aman in cahoots with Shyam? Mystery is deepening.

Shyam Sharma has managed to give a slip to Arnav but, Shyam Jha has managed track Khushi. He has a better network than Arnav. Arnav via Anjali is funding his investigation.

I still feel, Khushi should let Arnav or Payal know that she saw Shyam Sharma at their house. She knows how abusive he can get. I believe she also knows that he was Anjali's husband. Consequences be damned, she should let them know.
