Everything abt their convo was a no no for marriage. They were downright disrespectful to her and her parents. Shaurya just sat there and let them all disrespect her. She even begged him and he didn’t do anything.

With anokhi.. she is diff. She just says whatever and backs off. She doesn’t let him and others disrespect her. And here, he chases her - not the other way around.

I wondered how it was okay for her to get into a relationship like that. I mean she was intelligent and ambitious enough to get into Cambridge, and even if Shaurya did "allow" her to go for two years and comeback, she clearly would not have been able to pursue a career whilst being a Sabherwal bahu.

That was a totally one sided relationship and it was never going to be good for her. I'm actually so happy that she got out and if they do bring her back, I don't want her to be the typical vamp because it wouldn't make sense. Why would she want to go back to a man like that? But from Shaurya's side, it fits the character because Shaurya's abandonment issues make it that he needs someone for whom he is the center of their world. Shagun was pretty much willing to give him that so naturally he didn't bother thinking about anything from her side. And I don't think she was strong enough to force him to.

Also I personally think it's mostly true that in a relationship, partners are never both equally invested. One will always love the other more and how much that difference is will vary but I am getting the feeling that in Shakhi, Shaurya will love Anokhi a touch more than she'll love him. Which is what will be necessary to force him to break his views for her.
