Part 2
Vansh picked up the unconscious Riddhima in his arms and gently placed her on the bed. His heart broke seeing her so vulnerable and broken. One of the things that attracted him to her was her fighting spirit and strongly facing everything that is thrown in her way. But now, she looks tired, tired of everything. It’s as if she will give up anytime soon. Taking her hand, he sat beside her and started thinking over what she said.
It’s true that he knew about her truth, not who was behind her but who she was. He married her knowing she came into his life with a purpose. And she is right. He never trusted her because he shouldn’t. And it’s not a betrayal when there is no trust and when he knowingly kept her in his life.
Is he wrong then? Then what about the attack on Sia? And Ragini’s death? She was killed because of her. And she is also asking for the property in her name. What should he think of those? He kept reminding her about betraying him without listening to her side of the story.
He wanted her to be loyal to him and accept him as her husband but did he ever accept her? He kept taunting her that she married him for something she wanted but didn’t he also marry her with the same intention? She said she would have waited for me to come back if I was sent to jail. Would she really?
She is a righteous person and woman of morals and principles. She was thinking she was doing the right thing. He already knew that she was manipulated by someone and was being used. She was so innocent that anyone would try to take advantage of her. How could he ignore that? How can he forget she took bullets for him. Who does that for anyone? He taunted her for not keeping the vows of their marriage but she did. She protected him, when she didn’t need to.
"Argh!" Vansh groaned, this is all so confusing. He isn’t understanding what he should do. His brain is saying something and his heart is saying something else. He never used his heart but his brain didn’t land somewhere solid either. Maybe he should listen to his heart for one time and give her the benefit of doubt.
Vansh sighed. This was too much for him. He looked at her and slowly started taking off her large earrings, her heavy bangles. He went to put the accessories in the drawer and was about to close it when something caught his eye. There were a couple of pill medicine bottles and a glass bottle. He picked up the bottles and was shocked to read that they were depression and sleeping pills. He was even more shocked to know the content of the glass bottle. Poison! What The Fu*k? What the hell is this? Vansh couldn’t understand what to make of it.
He looked at Riddhima and thought aloud, “What are you up to Riddhima? Why are you taking these pills and why are you keeping a poison bottle next you? Did my death really affect you that much?” He was feeling suffocated with all the questions in his mind and left the room taking the pills and the poison bottle with him. He needs to know everything.

Angre was about to go to his room when his phone started ringing. He frowned seeing Vansh calling him. “Bhai, everything OK? You are calling me at this time,” he asked with concern when he heard, “Angre, get to the study right now. It’s urgent.” Without delaying anymore, he went to the study to find Vansh pacing around tense.
“What happened, Bahi?” Vansh looked at him and handed the bottles to him. Angre frowned in confusion seeing them, “Depression and sleeping pills? Poison? Why do you have all these?” Vansh stopped pacing and answered, “I found this from Riddhima’s drawer.” Angre was shocked to hear him. Riddhima? “What is she doing with all these? Why would she need this?” Angre couldn’t come to believe that out of everyone, Riddhima is the one using these.
“Exactly Angre. That is my question. And not only that, I have other questions now as well and I need to find the answers. I need to know what the fu*k is happening around me?” Vansh wasn’t showing this but he was actually scared. He is not able to come to terms with the fact Riddhima has become so vulnerable. Did she really love him? Did his death affect her so much that she has gone into depression and is giving up on her life?
Vansh shuddered thinking about Riddhima being dead. No matter what happened, he never wanted to lose her. He wanted to hurt her, punish her but would have never let her go. Everything right now seems as if Riddhima is the victim here. He needs to know the truth. “Angre, did you arrange the CCTV footage?”
“Yes, Bhai. I have arranged all the footage from the spy cameras you had installed and also recovered the footage that was deleted.” He plugged in the pen drive into a laptop and started playing it. They started watching all the old and new footage in hopes to find their answers.

Vansh couldn’t believe his eyes. So this is what’s been happening all along. This is the truth, truth that he couldn’t see. He was heaving with anger. His eyes were red and he looked ready to kill the culprits. He slammed away the chair and screamed in anger. Thankfully, the study was soundproof.
Angre tried calming down his boss and brother. He couldn’t imagine his situation. His mother was the culprit and he kept blaming his wife all along. Riddhima. He shook his head thinking about her. That poor girl went through so many things and they never noticed.
They saw how Ishani and Anupriya locked her in a room full of coal, Aryan harassing her and trying to kill her with Chachi, Anupriya making her walk on glass pieces, and whatnot. He shuddered when he saw Anupriya and Kabir electrocuting her and threatening her.
Angre felt bad for Vansh but couldn’t help but think he deserved it. He never gave a chance to Riddhima. He just believed what was presented to him and for a man like him, you would think he would triple-check such information. He just hopes everything gets fine between Vansh and Riddhima because as much he knows her, she is not going to take Vansh’s truth lightly.
Vansh took deep breaths trying to calm himself. Everything was running in front of his eyes like a movie. Riddhima’s torture, her humiliation, her tears, yellow gloved person, Sia being attacked, Riddhima trying to explain him, his fake death, her breaking down, her being threatened and electrocuted. Everything was running in his mind.
He ran into his room and stopped before Riddhima. How would he face her? After everything he did, how would he meet her eyes? She was suffering so much because of his family and she was going through more tortures to protect the same family, just because it’s his family. How could she do that? What was she made of?
She was so much better than him. Even when she was spying on him, she directly asked him whenever she had doubts on him. She was willing to listen to his side of the story and he didn’t even give her the benefit of doubt.
How would she react when she finds out about his fake death and what he planned for her? She went through so much pain knowing I was dead and I still didn’t trust her. She is so broken just because of him. She wanted to end her life just because of him.
“I am so sorry, sweetheart. I am really sorry. I did so much bad with you, my family did so much bad with you. I pushed you into such a dark, miserable life. I am feeling really guilty and disgusted about what I made you go through. You don’t deserve it and I am really sorry for all of it.” Vansh cried holding her face in his hands.
“But I promise you, sweetheart, I am going to make everything fine. I will punish every single person who hurt you. They will pay for what they did.” Vansh's eyes shone with anger and determination.
