Exact! Shaurya was sold as a modern day Misogynist and here we see it coming out. Add a little jealousy and a whole lot of pestering on Anokhi’s end, I’m not surprised he lost his cool. He’s not perfect. I don’t think it takes his character back at all.

There is absolutely no justification for shaurya’s actions today or even reasoning since if he is doing this out of jealousy, possessive nature, or anger; all of this emotions have taken a toxic turn today; so he certainly doesn’t hold the respect that he had in my eyes before.

As far as pushing him goes, I haven’t watched the episode but I know one thing ki even that can’t be used to justify infact is more like victim blaming.

As far as other toxic male leads go, yes he is less toxic but still behaved in a toxic manner.

The only reasoning I can think of, is for the makers PoV. I mean they showed it in the promos and initial episodes and his whole description is of masked misogynist, so this was coming.

So, The good thing is makers are definetly not going to glorify it and we as viewers know shaurya is wrong and they better make shaurya suffer a lot for this.

Make him feel guilty to no end. I want him to suffer.

Since going through whatever pain or trauma doesn’t mean one gets license to cause others the same pain.

Bas aaj bura isi liye laga kyu ki kahin na kahin I was happy that his misogyny is restricted to his prejudiced notions about career women but it isn’t true so can’t love him the way I used to unless there is a extreme amount of guilt from his side and the makers actually don’t handle this lightly.

Also, I hope aaj se when anokhi hates him or says rude things to him, she wont get bashed by fd, infact now I want her to say such things to him, and make him suffer more, even if he apologises since one apology is not gonna be enough for this.

Main hoti anokhi ki jagah, mera toh mann karta seedhe thappad maarne ka, doesn’t matter professor ya kya.

Also, for anokhi now there is absolutely no difference between shaurya and other men in her life.

Even I am wondering this as well. Bcuz whatever difference there was there btw Shaurya and the other men in this show, it was eliminated yesterday.

Completely agree with the license statement re: everyone is fighting their own battle and there’s no excuse for toxic behavior

The reaction to the episode is not because it happened but because of the worry that it might not have an effective consequence as ITV has established a pattern of the MLs questioning the FLs character into a norm with no serious repercussions. This show has been different so far and yes Shaurya is layered and grey in a nuanced manner not a typical caricaturish Angry young man who ticks of a checklist, which is why everyone is rooting for a growth in the character while addressing the main debate of Male Chauvinism vs Feminism. This isn't a run off the mill love-hate story but a clash of ideologies.

Not what I’m saying at all. I’ve said multiple times that he’s in the wrong. But you have to see it as two flawed human beings being irrational with their thoughts and actions. So automatically we’re all just going to never talk to someone again if they make a mistake? Shaurya absolutely needs to apologize and make up for what he did.

I’m just also saying that Anokhi has been in his business from DAY ONE which is wrong, but she shouldn’t have to apologize for interfering in his life after he repeatedly had asked her not too? Just because Shaurya said/did something wrong, it doesn’t take away from Anokhi’s mistakes. Fyi, both of them can be in the wrong at the same time, for different reasons.

Okay, Anokhi was absolutely not in the wrong today. Did she go overboard with Aastha ma'am track, yes but it has now been established that Shaurya doesn't mind it because in Saturday's episode when she once again brought her into the conversation he accepted it casually and even pondered on finding out more about her personal life.

She insisted on Shaurya speaking today not to bother him but because she could see something bothering him and only because she cared enough to find out why? Unlike his own family who just let him be and are completely clueless about what he wants or what torments him.

Anokhi did not deserve to be spoken like that period, it is wrong because there is no justification not his temper, not his jealousy.

Agreed both are flawed....

in a way anokhi's interference in shaurya's life was due to her immense love and respect for astha..who was soul saver for anokhi...she has blind faith ..a person like astha can never be wrong..who she said is like her 2nd mother..a girl out of teens as her..out of a toxic household and suffered abuses..high on emotions went over board with it...it is wrong...she needs to know boundaries...but there is no comparison of both here....shaurya snubbing anokhi is not knew..even before all..just because she was Astha's student..shaurya forgot that he is teacher and should keep personal grudges away..

But here..you don't need to bring anokhi's past mistakes..it's in way a justification for shaurya's vile abuse...you wrote about anokhi's pestering is the reason for her insult..i don't agree with that view...
