True...Arunita was sidelined in initial weeks....she got recognition because of audience and guests appreciation.... She is my favourite too from saregamapa lil Champs days...she has so much of potential and she is versatile can sing various genres but this channel is not giving her that kind of songs

Good Episode. I had not seen Jackie Shroff in any other show before so it was refreshing for me and he is so cool.

Nihal's second song was good. Pawandeep was average today. Arunita, Sayli, Nachiket, Danish, Sireesha were good.

But my favourite performances were Sawai are SMP. Both of them were so good.

Also after very long time I liked Neha's look in the show, she was looking beautiful today.

Thank God no Arunita Pawandeep angle this week.

hoping to see her performance on bhigi bhigi si hai ratein again after lil champs also something purely classical like phool gendwa and something from current music like tum hi aana or kabhi jo badal barse etc...(seems impossible in idol 🙄)

Sayali was my fave out of tonight! She was SO good. jackie Shroff was hilarious (I haven’t seen many of his movies etc so I didn’t know what his personality is like, he was fun) rest were good

I was really shocked and pissed to see Shreesha to go before Swai and Nihal ughh

This week was much more balanced as compared to many previous weeks. I would like the channel and production to give each contestant same screen space and opportunity and let the audience choose the winner. Although Danish was impressing me more and more but again last week was so unfair ... he got to perform 4-5 times and some just once on 1 song. Now this kind of bias puts me of and even if the contestant may be really good I just can’t root for them :(. Equal opportunity for all is what I really want . Jackie shroff was so much fun to watch. The week ends with unfair elimination of Sireesha... she was treated very very unfairly by the judges and the makers. She deserved so much better!

I thoroughly enjoyed today’s episode. Jackie Shriff seemed like a very fun guy. No airs, modest and he didn’t make the show about him.

Coming to today’s performances:

Nihal - he was way better than yesterday. Infact it was a decent performance. I liked both the songs he sang, though in the first song his pronunciation wasn’t clear. The second one was much better.

Sayli - she was fantastic. Her growth in the show has been the best. In the beginning I don’t think anyone thought of her as a contender for the title, but her rise is commendable. I haven’t heard the first song, but it sounded pleasing to the ears. Her second song was lovely.

Ashish - I haven’t heard the first song he sang before this, but it sounded fun. His second song, is quite a popular song and he was ok. Way better than yesterday.

Danish - I didn’t like how he started sheeshe se sheesha takraye, but it got better. His second song was well sung. Overall a good performance. I have to give him credit for singing two very different songs back to back.

Pawandeep - again today was a good performance. I still maintain that he doesn’t sing with feel, but yesterday and today were amongst his better performances. I enjoyed his first performance, it’s a beautiful song.

Arunita - she sang both songs pretty well. I can’t find faults with her first performance but I didn’t enjoy it. I don’t know why, but I just didn’t. Her second performance was good too, but I couldn’t help but compare it to Sayalis. Both sang very well. Maybe because Sayli sang it first, I preferred her version, but I still think Arunita did a brilliant job.

Sawai - after yesterday I thought he wouldn’t be able to give such a good performance, but it was a great performance. I think part of the credit goes to the song itself. It was enjoyable and it was good to see Jackie enjoy it too.

SMP - I have mixed feeling about this song, I didn’t like the end at all. The beginning was shaky as well, but in between she was good. So excluding the first 30 seconds and the last minute it was good. When she hit high notes and changed scale she sounded slightly screechy. But for me to even like part of her performance is a big deal.

Nachiket - like Jackie said, his voice touches the soul. I enjoyed both his songs. I enjoyed the second one more and I haven’t heard that song before today.
Sireesha - she was so good in both songs. Both peppy numbers, and she did a great job. She’s not only a singer but a performer. She sings effortlessly. It’s sad that she wasn’t appreciated enough.

Anjali - I haven’t heard the song nor did I enjoy it. She like Nihal songs without too much emotion.

When Aditya announced the bottom 5 according to the judges scores, Vishal looked shocked. It’s strange because they are the ones giving scores. It was so fake.

Sireesha wasn’t appreciated, but Sayli has been getting rave reviews, as has Nachiket. And if we look at this weeks performance and comments from the judges, these two should’ve been safe.

In my eyes the show has lost all credibility already, I’m only watching it because we’re still under some sort of a lockdown and I’m home. Otherwise, I have no expectation that a deserving contestant will win.

Well then, where do I begin talking about this episode? Let's start with the good.

- I have so much love and respect in my heart for Jaggu Dada! 🤗❤️ He is such a sweet, down to earth person, evident in the way he interacted with the contestants and his fans. He sang and danced with the contestants like a friend, and he was ready to learn from them, not just advise or applaud them. After seeing his acting today (with Arunita and Danish), I was reminded of a performance of his that gave me newfound respect for the guy -- his role in the Gujarati adaptation of Ventilator. The man is a phenomenal actor and just an endearing personality!! 😍❤️

- My favorite performances today were: Sayli, Arunita (in her first song), Nachiket, and Anjali

- I'd like to give two special shoutouts:

(1) To Nachiket Lele for the way he took his alaaps towards the end of his performance! 👏🏻👏🏻 It sounded so melodious to my ears rather than unnecessary screaming and screeching.

(2) To Sireesha Bhagavatula for her versatility! She is -- was -- the most versatile female contestant on the show. Great job Sony TV on getting rid of one of your most well-rounded performers. 😠🙄🤦‍♀️

- The rest of the contestants were good too. I'm glad that Danish sang Chalak chalak. I was hoping to hear it, but he didn't even sing my favorite part — Naache Meera lehrake balkhake...

- I pretty much skipped through SMP's performance so no comments there 🤐

- I found Pawandeep waaayyyy too mechanical today. It was especially glaring when he sang Yaad Aa Raha Hai.

- I found Chitra ji's message to be more of a consolation prize for Sireesha from the channel’s behalf than genuine praise or appreciation. I don't know how to feel about it. Khair chodo, at least she got a message from her idol; I’m happy for her.

- Also, I never knew that Gali Gali mein phirta hai is a remake. OMG, this disease of remakes/remixes has spread further beyond my imagination 😳

- Thank god for the tiny mercy this weekend: everyone performed on both days. 🙌🏼

Now getting to the bad part:

- I honestly couldn't even enjoy the damn episode because of the spoiler.

- Lol, so nowadays in the little acting interactions or scene playings the contestants do with the guests, there is an elaborate setup and everything? I'm referring to Danish and Arunita's acts. Earlier it used to be just the guest and contestant on stage enacting a scene for a minute but now there are props and everything? Singing show hai ki films ke auditions chal rahe hain? I mean they were enjoyable (credit to Jaggu dada) but completely out of place 🤷🏻‍♀️

- Sireesha, Sayli, and Nachiket being in the bottom 5 is bizzarre. 😡 And even more insane is that Sireesha got lesser votes than Nihal. I’m so scared for Nachiket now. He’s been in the bottom 5 for weeks now and I am scared his confidence will drop like Sireesha’s did. I can’t take it anymore. 😢😭

- I'm just gonna say that these judges are basically incompetent. Sawai's blunder yesterday was so huge, it should've guaranteed that he left (of course, that is, assuming it wasn’t a TRP stunt). Don't get me wrong, I like the guy, I feel for him, and he's a good singer. But he forgot the lyrics (a lot of them) and messed up the song terribly on a national singing competition. There can be no coming back from that (in terms of the contest). And Nachiket has been getting consistent MBDs yet he is still in the bottom five? Sayli too?? 🤯😰😲 HOW????

- I can't even stand Neha anymore -- her waah waah in the middle of performances (even when unwarranted), her overacting the song lyrics when contestants are singing, ugh. 😖 Honestly, does she even pay attention to the contestants’ singing? I mean, you have to pay close attention to the nuances and harkateins and baareekiyan and all but she’s busy acting out the song and interjecting wherever not necessary. Oh, and don't even get me started on how bad Vishal is as a judge. I have lost so much respect for him.

- I thought Himesh was fine, but he's losing it too now. Today he literally said he is Pawandeep’s and now Danish’s greatest fan. Nothing wrong with that, but bro you’re the judge! You need to be unbiased!! Or at least pretend to be for god's sake! I guess I can make peace with the fact that at least he has more appreciation for and sense of different styles of music than the other two. Damn, the bar is so low now. 🤦‍♀️🙄

Now to my thoughts:

- I was thinking why Sireesha and Nachiket are getting so sidelined. Is it because they don't have any sob story or interesting catch? Sireesha only had one thing circulating about her which was that she is Chitra ji's fan. Nachiket too has been all about the art of music and theater (with his various natya sangeets and all). On the other hand, every other contestant has weird hooks and intros and/or sob stories. So basically what you need to go far in this show is drama, not talent. Great. Awesome. 😑😶

I cannot go on with this show anymore. At least, I can't watch diligently every weekend anymore. But then again, I love Arunita, Danish, Nachiket, and Sayli so I'll watch for their performances at least. And I love this group of friends I have found on this forum, so I'll definitely keep visiting. 🤗
