I think she also stopped him from saying zimmedaari cuz Imlie zimmedaari ko bhi apnepan se dekhti hai.....while Adi was making zimmedaari also sound like obligation in that moment. That is what finally got too much for her and she told him to stop calling it that. Adi has a way of making any good gesture also sound like an obligation/burden😆.....and this time it got too much for Imlie.

Babusahib ko sach main baat karne ka saleeka nahi hai na hi isko timing ka koi sense hai.. rofl jab train chalti hai iski tih kisi station pe.rukti nahi hai 😆 rofl at his in mid nahi karoonga bas😆 the zimmedari sounded more like a bhoj on him ke yeh mere pe daal di gayi hai instead of zimmedari ko zimmedari jaise lena which is why it hurt her and sounded like an insult caz he was the one who told her ke woh nibhayega not her.. so she went nope that is the least I want yeh zimmedaari tag.. it also hits her harder caz this bhoj thing she has a history with the NN constantly calling her that and unloading her on adi and her being made to feel like that despite her infinite tries to get rid of it which ended her being so hopeless. It was like something broke inside her in that moment 💔

It could have been done so much better had they not given such AdiNi rinse/repeats in between.

Imlie showed a lot of resolve for a 19 year old today. She drew a hard line. It is another thing that destiny will not let it stay that way for long.

@bold: Word....and the other irony is that he has elevated her to Malini's level without realizing that the understanding he keeps claiming he has with Malini is actually what he is finding in Imlie....as you said, she gets him on a visceral level that he never bothers sharing with Malini since that is a relationship of coddling and obligation.

He is finding a kindered spirit in Imlie but he refuses to consciously face that fact....and finds a 100 different ways to invalidate it. It should ideally all come back to bite him some day.....lol only time will tell.

I honestly still can't get over her "Aap humein kabhi samjhe hi nahin" expression

This moment was just so powerful.....and if Adi was capable of processing more conscious emotions, it would hit him harder....it should give him pause how visceral, how deep the hurt was in her eyes in that moment. But Adi abhi capable nahin yeh sab samajhne ka....bas chhatpataata hai confusion mein.....he clearly felt bad seeing her hurt in that moment but he is nowhere close to understanding the magnitude of her hurt and how him giving her this token/obligation zimmedaari gyaan ends up hurting her all the more.

Notice ki Malini waale scene min kitne aansu nikal rahe the iske😆.....cuz woh waale emotions familiar hain iske liye....obligation waali zimmedaari, khokhla trust, guilt trip.....us sab pe standard reactions nikal aate hain iske😆....but Imlie ka dard abhi nahin samajh aata isko.

LOL his split personality disorder issues are more so because he is trying to live a double life😆....when you don't face your true self, you end up coming across like a split personality. I don't know if you've seen the movie Tamasha, but Ranbir's character in that has some shades of this....he's a mess because he spent his whole life suppressing his real self. I see some shades of Adi in that right now....he is living a double life with this two wives situation because he is trying to outrun the truth of his marriage to Imlie as well as the kind of person she has uncovered from within him that he's suppressed for so long otherwise....that is ending up with him looking like someone who can easily switch between two relationships and two personalities with the two different women in his life.

But it actually isn't that straightforward and he ends up slipping up many times.....anyways, yes, Imlie has given him a break by leaving this time so it's a golden chance for him now😆....he can focus on his "chosen" relationship with Malini full time.....let's see how well the relationship holds up then😆.

Exactly ! He knew she was affected but exactly kya tha what made him feel disturbed over her hurt and the magnitude of her hurt samjh nahi paaya though he still kept trying and repeating ke you are misunderstanding but usse aage he really had nothing to say despite realizing ke kuch gadbadh kar di hai but kyon gadbadh lagi usse woh samjh nahi aa raha tha.. as you said he was jhatpataooing but it was beyond his understanding at that moment .. her hurt dekha nahi jaa raha tha neither did he knew how to tackle and make it up then si he goes to his usual ok bas chalo rehne do .. ignore 😆 his tried and tested formula that works with malini but then imlie malini nahi hai..

Also with malini idk I am confused 😕 was he showing emotion for what malini said or what she said plus what happened with imlie made him have a weak moment for a few secs I'd like to bekeive larer that the confrontation with inlie was already disturbing him and it was the aftereffects of hurting her caz he already came in the room hurt and with teary eyes over what happened with imlie one could seee his eyes being filled with tears pehle se toh I guess malini ke baat just chalkaooed them when he was confused and upset pehle se over hurting imlie which is why as soon as he gets done with malini ko sahan buddhi dena he went to imlie ka door to once again makeup when notice he was in hurry to get to office kaaboo nahi kar paaya and phir se iske kadam jaise khichte gaye...

Imlie is a different creature altogether than Malini in case he hasn't figured it out yet😆.....I'm not saying ki Imlie ko manaana bahut hard hai....but as you said, she just requires more genuine emotions and apnapan....not the superficial stuff that Adi is used to using on Malini.

Btw shayad thoda out of topic but it is registering only now for me with the intensity it should have pehle how for the first time he talked about his PD visit with a bit if fondness in that office scene he actually said agar hum yeh raaste na lete toh aise insaan se mil na paate .. along those lines..I was like wow he is for the first time talking about OD bina soche of the shaadi and horror and kinda saying it was good in WAY
