You just spoke my heart. You know I got criticised so many times for talking on such matters. I even got to hear that are you a male, then why you are talking on their behalf. How to make them realize that effects of sensitive issues don't see gender.
Some people think it is okay to bodyshame/character-shame men (Talking from a real experience). It is as wrong as doing these things to women. These days when we are fighting for equality, we easily forget that equality cannot be achieved by degrading the opposite gender; be it men or women. Mental health concept is applicable for humans; not for a specific gender/profession or anything else. This is what we forget. We are humans first, then everything else comes.
Sweety🤗❤️
I am so sorry to hear that you had to hear such comments from people for putting your thoughts forward. It is their loss, not yours. And unfortunately, people can be brutal if they don't see eye to eye with you. I agree, speaking about what is wrong doesn't require you to be of a certain gender. But alas! you can't make everyone realize this. But please don't shun your voice. If you could change the view of even one then it is worth it is what belive😃. So, keep speaking👍🏼
Yes!! If a man passing a comment on a woman is wrong then so is the vice-versa. The word equality loses its meaning if it is just about one side. And degrading one side is definitely not going to solve the problem. Today women are raising their voices after being oppressed. In near future, we will see men doing the same. This circle is going to continue till we really understand the meaning of equality. You said it perfectly, we are humans first.
