I don't know, I am actually confused after the teaser . Nobody can ignore the hardwork Alia put in to make this character right . That said, when I see her in the teaser , I see Alia not Gangubai, it was like her doing fancy dress and trying hard to make it right. It's not the age ,she is 26 but her face is so baby like . When Parineeta released Vidya was 26 something right ,her height I guess is same as Alia but she was mature enough to do such roles . Alia lacks the effortless no nonsense kind of look. The dialogue delivery though top notch in some place towards the end it lacks the command.

But ofcourse, this looks like it was written for PC.Dream role for her and for the audience it it has happened .

For some reason I feel Tripti would’ve been the right choice for the role. She looks appropriately “young” and also gives that maturity

Btw have to give it to SLB to make such a lavish looking movie in the circumstances it was started. I remember thinking this would look horrible since it started like in about a week after that Salman film got cancelled and jaise taise bhi kar raha hai but the aesthetics of the film looks so good.

I don't get most of the nay comments here. Are they not seeing the same trailer? I haven't been a fan of her movies, nor of her offscreen stuff, but she really brought some pizzazz to what would've been just another BW actress doing yet another *hatke* role.
