For sure they do...they make it super obvious. And these days even EK has stopped doing what was second nature to her at one point - which is start the show with one ship and then maaro a palti and get the FL (or ML) married to the other person and then make that ship the primary one.

But it's also true that if there are 3 leads, then guaranteed some sections of the audience will split and ship the "non-real ship" (I think the fact we had so few Jani fans was more bc no one was watching the show 🤣 but I guess in the early days before they showed him as a villain, there might have been more Jani fans...and even then people were complaining that the writers "changed the direction towards Vani" as if they've never watched TV before). I don't really care about that as long as the show is clear, but it does give you a headache in terms of online interaction 🤣 and then if the secondary ship's fandom is loud enough, shows sometimes try to placate them or spark fires by adding in more scenes with that jodi.

TBF...this is all coming off me mooching around other forums recently and seeing the anger on some of them about the unwanted third angles, so maybe I'm projecting 🤣 and as we know "genuinely good chemistry" is not exactly a requirement for people to ship jodis these days 😳...

Even with old EK shows, the beginning couple usually have less chemistry as compared to the married couple (get me??😆).

I've been keeping a eye on this serial for long now, and ab time mila hai toh I'm gonna watch it. Abhi toh tak I haven't found anything that would make me cringe and not watch it.

They've until now tackled all issues so sensitively and logically!!

@bold - this is what I mean...it gets annoying when they play both sides, so that's why I always hope for no triangles at all. Gunjaish hi nahi hogi phir.

And yes, in old EK shows the formula was: first love = puppy love, second love = REAL ANGSTY FOREVER WALA love, caps included 🤣
