It is not humara not tumhra simple ghar.. full on giving her the full place in his subconsciously accounting it as their while with malini it is still chalo mere ghar.. she also keeps going mere ghar se pick up imli

Yup, she does it right... I went back to check the episodes what Malini refers it as and she said “aapka ghar” and “ mera ghar “. They did it ina way that even Anu started thinking ki why is naukrani calling it her house with so much of haq...

What an Adilicious episode!! Guess the makers also realized that they missed a part and gave us an episode where they tried to of get us on the same page as them and showed how far Aditya has come in terms of his relationship with Imlie and the easy comfort level that he now shares with her.

We had once said that Imlie challenges Aditya but I also think that she baffles him. I feel that he is a person who is "teda ke saath teda and seedhe ke seedha",hence Imlie's attitude of always being "seedha" in any case, totally leaves him perplexed and most of the time speechless. He keeps questioning her about it, like he did today when she was making the "lep", because he just cannot fathom this behavior. Little does he know, that this very quality of hers is what has slowly, step by step, chipped away at his walls and is succeeding in making a place for her in his life. He might think that it is only trust but I will say that there is "care" too even though he is reluctant to admit it. I say this because every time he questions Imlie about it, she in turn has never given him a straight answer. She has only with her taunts indicated that "I do the same with you and I am Ok with it because I know its your care". I love it how he takes her taunts in stride, without giving any justification, explanation or acknowledgement and just changes the subject, both during the bike scene and today in the kitchen, because Methinks he just does not want to admit it aloud that he does care for her and is developing a soft corner for her.

But then there are so many other ways he shows it right and thus we come to the word that for me, was the centerpiece of today's episode and that was"ghar".See giving a place to stay in the house is very easy and making that person a part of your home is very difficult. Imlie with her selflessness, no demands and silent support has simply crossed that distance from house to home and Aditya, subconsciously though, has acknowledged it. It was so simply said by him that "ghar jaana hain ke nahin" but with all the implication that "ghar" means the home where she belongs and not the house where she stays. In turn, where Malini still refers to it as "apk aghar", Imlie has wholeheartedly accepted it as her home as she invites DC to "Humara ghar" to teach her painting.😊

As nim_var said, that these two are building their own world in a houseful of people but there is one person, who IMO is the only smart one in this drama, is noticing all the undercurrents. I, sometimes think that AC knows Aditya more than Malini. She is sensing the change in his demeanor or his behavior towards Imlie which nobody has, except for us viewers of course. Her antennas are pricked and she knows Malini might not believe her words but just might believe her eyes. She really has too much hope on her daughter because if I know Malini and if they do not change her character overnight, she is going to see things completely different from her mother. Where AC saw surprised awareness in Adi and Imlie when she caught him on the waist, Malini is going to see the hand Imlie put on the bike stand at the back, where Anu is seeing the closeness and familiarity, Malini is going to see the distance in terms of the bag that Imlie put between them, where Anu is seeing the "haq" or the place that Aditya is giving Imlie by letting her sit on his bike ("iaise Malini baithi hain") and asking her to put her hand on the shoulder, which was only Malini's till date, Malini is just going to misunderstand it as frustration and displeasure on Adi's face for the errand that he has been tasked with and that too for Imlie. Beautifully done…

Lastly, I do agree with you that this whole scene was a metaphor for the bigger picture and his last sentence "you can keep your hand on the shoulder" was his way of telling her that you can take my support and you do not need to do it alone.

PS:

  1. I loved all the scenes but my favorite was the one where she was asking him to call her mother and he was stuck on the outgoing call. It was so typical husband wife nok-jok, where their priorities are so mixed up and in the end the husband gives up. I also liked how he was sensitive to the fact that she could not talk to her mother, and sternly order her that, not t cry. May BS cannot handle her tears but one thing is for sure, where Imlie is concerned BS ki vocabulary mein "Please and sorry" ke shabd hi nahin hain :)
  2. I also like that they let her fall of the bike instead of showing him catching her. It was so different from there normal ITV cliches and so very refreshing where they just showed normal frustration on his face ki "yeh ladki ka mein kya karu".

Loved all the comments in bold and agree.. Pam. I have been binge watching the show over the weekend and went back to the start and watched a couple of episodes..😃 As Sumeer mentioned in the interview, it is destiny that brought them together and whatever happens between them, it will be due to destiny. Adi was drawn to the fertile lands and the fresh air of the village and this bubbly girl who caught his eye, when he was taking pictures. Imli lit the lamp that he had left behind and prayed for happiness, including her share to be given to the person who had left it under the tree, during the mela. There is destiny at play, in the 4th episode I think. Adi tried his best to leave Imli behind and he finally accepted that it was destiny bringing them back together, meant to be together. He accepted his responsibility towards Imli in the ambulance and the crisis where each almost lost their lives, has forged an unbreakable bond. Mind over heart, is another issue that Adilie are dealing with, this strange situation they are in.

Imli is now a part of his house and he has made a promise to Mithi to look after her daughter and Satyakam trusts him to look after her, giving her izzat. It is such a contrast between Anu and Mithi, where both love their daughter dearly, have raised them with inherent goodness, one emotionally strong and the other weak due to constant conflicts in her parent's marriage. The demands made by both are again so different, one wants Adi to put her daughter first above everything else and the other wants him to keep her daughter safe/sound with him.

From the start, Anu has been making snide remarks against Adi, his work, his family, his lack of wealth to keep her daughter in the style she is accustomed to. It is a slow layering of all her insecurities that is being revealed one by one. As you pointed out, she maybe the one to 'actually see' what is going on, the closeness or the bond developing between Adilie. Right now both are grappling with their emotions and guilt over Malini, the burden lies heavy on their shoulders, the lie they are living.

The bike scene was refreshing and the presentation was just perfect without being OTT. The casting is excellent and the leads are refreshing. 😃

@Pam - cannot quote your previous reply for some reason 🥱

Knowing Rupali and Malini’s previous conversation, about a woman being married without getting her husband’s love is a situation Rupali would not wish on anyone, she is going to support Malini. Everyone is going to support Malini. Imlie might not get anyone’s support initially for a while. I would like Aditya to support but that is pretty far fetched.

Well, yes, I agree that Imlie will not get the support but I do not want her to be blamed also. In other words, I do not want Aditya to get a clean chit because if I would have to blame anyone other than circumstances in this scenario, it would be Aditya. See they got married because they were forced but after that every decision that was taken as it pertains to their family was their own. Where Imlie is lying to her family to hide a lie, Aditya is lying to hide a truth. Imlie has just followed his direction/instruction blindly or without question. Frankly, what else could she do, as everything and everyone was so new for her. So, IMO, it was Aditya who is the culprit here where his family and Malini are concerned . Ok, I will give it to him that Malini is not emotionally strong to handle it but his marriage was not something that affected only them right? It is something that has an impact on all his family and he did not even try to tell the truth until just before marriage and that too because Imlie was overwhelmed. I would think that at least one of the Tripathis would be emotionally strong to not faint on hearing the news😛. But then there would be no drama 😉

Hence, though Imlie might not get the support, Aditya should be the only one who should be blamed as along with his family and Malini, he has also wronged Imlie.
