Yes, ever since the Calcutta Riots of 1946, also known as the “Great Calcutta Killing. These Noakhali riots were a series of semi-organized massacres, rapes, abductions and forced conversions of Hindus to Islam and looting and arson of Hindu properties perpetrated by the Muslim community in the districts of Noakhali in the Chittagong Division of Bengal (now in Bangladesh) in October–November 1946, a lot of Hindus in the Sindh region moved east to India for safety. Even after Partition, they took the road route rather than the trains, where most of the massacre happened. Dangerous, but most survived the trail to Gujarat/Rajasthan.
