Adi has changed. His tone altered when he called her 'Imli' in that deep baritone and toned it down to ask for his phone. When she got him his tea, he started at a high pitch and then realized how he was saying it, toned it down and said she did fine. The awareness that he is always yelling at her, is also making him guilty. When he called her Mahagyaani, Mahaprashasan... I think it was hidden compliment, as her quick thinking saved the day.
When he confronted Imli in her bedroom post the savitri vrat, he was intense and started off softly, all kinds of raw emotions that are churning in him.. he confessed his deepest fear to her in that moment, that he might lose all his loved ones, his family.
You are right in that both are story tellers, another thread binding them together, the appreciation for the language. Yes.. 😃 can't wait to see how he reacts when he figures out it is Imli who wrote the poem.
His boss is going to be floored by the moti rotis for sure and is going to sing her praises with the promise that Adi bring it to the office for lunch... LOL
@bold: Oh glad to know I'm not the only one thinking that.....so you noticed it too?😆....yes, they both have an appreciation for language and the power of words.
The reason their story is compelling is because this connection is built up through these kind of common things subtly woven into the story rather than relying on romantic scenes.
The 'romance' if you will, becomes all the more powerful cuz it's built up through meaning and not token eyelocks or hugs.....their first hug came at nearly 60 episodes and that too in such an emotional high point. And now their next hug has been shown as something that came about in a flow of emotions from Imlie rather than being shown as some "winds blowing, dupatta flying" attraction which I guess is what most ppl expect in order to judge the "chemistry" of any story😆.
Have to post the gifs of both hugs as a contrast:

The most notable part of yesterday's hug IMO was that it had a strong emotional component to it rather than being about attraction.....In Imlie's imagination, Adi hugged her emotionally and she also returned the hug emotionally.....that is what set apart their chemistry IMO from being in the typical zone for the leads in a romantic story. This is not to say that attraction won't be a part of their story, but the core, the baseline is intense emotion first.
I liked how you described Adi's shifting tone towards Imlie as well....he did temper it down in yesterday's epi when he asked for the phone and later "praised" her😆.....the guilt is definitely there inside him for scolding her a lot and I think in the long term, he will regret it more....but for now, his daant is his main language of communication with Imlie😆.....his fikar, his care, his exasperation with her is all wrapped up in that daant and he doesn't know how to seperate those feelings right now😆.
