Refreshing because I havent seen a trans be portrayed as a lead character. Otherwise yeah it is same old same old.

did they approached any trans actress? Because I can't believe if any trans actress would have refused an opportunity of representation.

They approached leading ladies of TV. I think they wanted people to give it a chance. As bad as it sounds, people are more likely to watch Ruby play trans than an actual trans character. It's terrible but bitter truth :/

But hopefully this show opened doors for trans ppl. I know a lot of trans people appreciated the show.
