While I am not gonna give so much credit to this particular show, from a neutral point of view I would say it's possible that you are showing two people together. But it's each other's influence when one realizes where he/she must have faltered.
Like the Grey's Anatomy sub-plot I was referring to, when the sneek peak was released fans were raging because Owen had been a huge pain in the ass & they even said Amelia didn't have to be the better person, Owen didn't deserve it. But when she appeased him it actually made me recall that she too, put him through a lot & he tried his best to make things work. Things didn't work out, he s***wed up later - it was different. But he helped her evolve & She carried it forward.
So I think it's possible for a person to have personal growth while being in a relationship. Like you said, Atharv helped Vividha.
