Actually I really should move on from BiggBoss but there is a little thing that irks me.
When Aari won everybody clapped. The housemates reaction was not showed immediately, rather many seconds later. It could be seen that Sam was standing too (she was sitting lower than Sanam), so when Sanam was standing Sam must be standing too. After his speech you could see that first row of housemates were standing and clapping (the other were not shown but I expect they would have been standing too). When the suitcase was given everybody was clapping. The housemates clapped everywhere were it was needed. It was obvious that the housemates clapped for political correctness, because after so many weeks it is obvious that Aari isn’t liked by most of the housemates. It was the end of a very long shooting day. By the end of the show there were many technical errors and awkward silence without music fillings etc., everybody was tired. The reactions of the housemates were always shown much later, never their immediate reaction. I think the housemates should be given a slack. The only moments were everybody was sitting with crossed armes and grim faces were when Aari was speaking to them and apologising.

At the end of the day if all the housemates would have been euphoric it would have been fake too.

Sorry for bringing it up again after a few days. For some reasons it still irked me and wanted to defend the other housemates in a small way.

I don’t know if we can blame the general public for this reaction. The show was already shot and then telecasted. Which means they purposely chose to keep certain reaction shots at certain moments. It could be to drum up curiosity for the show beyond more time than usual. We have seen in previous seasons where they use old footage of people applauding at different points of time to make it look more celebratory. So it’s human nature to take things for face value with what they see in the telecast. This combined with the ex-housemates besides Anitha and Sanam (far as I’ve seen) not posting a celebratory message after coming out continues to push a certain narrative.

yeah I thought so too that editing plays a big role in it.

With the celebratory message it is like with birthday wishes. Nowadays it only have value when it is declared on social media 😆 obviously they would have given wishes on stage itself and even after that was a after shower party with cake feeding.

Obviously people will move on after a few weeks but for now it is still the narrative Aari against the housemates (Anitha and Sanam excluded).
if some of the housemates would have done celebratory wishes the comment section would be still invaded with negative comments and a lot of the people would call it fake. It is one of the situation where one can’t win no matter what he/she does.

But eventually I guess everybody will move on. I mean BiggBoss Seaon 5 is almost around the corner (if it is really in June).
