Its not really like that rubina was fighting so that rakhi doesnt get embarrassed ....rubina ko sach pata tha na tab bhi woh personal hygiene bole ja rahi thi ......couldn't she let go off that one point for shorts....only she knew na ki rakhi ki position kya thi....phir bhi she was fighting for the point rahul took for letting her change into shorts. I was like....why the hell she is doing this......nikki already itna de toh chuki....kam se kam aise issue ke liye she should have shown more humanity and let go off that one point because that is what the rules says and rahul doesn't know the truth to leave it on human grounds.

In the episode, it looks like she is hiding Rakhi's condition from everyone. But the 'Late night masala' that airs just after the episode, she is seen discussing it with Abhinav and one other person was sitting there. So, Ruby actually broke her promise.
