They were arguing about food so it makes sense to use this word and Ruby is intelligent, you can tell by the vocabulary she uses. She wouldn't be stupid enough to use a racist word on television. Plus she is someone who fights for diversity of all kind, it does not make sense she would use such a word.

Her vocab is good so I am kinda like in what sense she said it🤔

The word is used in negative connotation becoz those ppl are known for eating a lot and eats whatever they find, even on my side, it's used to refer black ppl.

I don't know in what context she used, but I believe she didn't know the meaning to be this broad and diverse!

I just read 5-6 articles to know more about Habshi word.

I didnt came across anywhere it being used in food habits(not that I dont agree with people here😆), its just implies that it is used as racist slur only!

I came to know its also used to imply a person is "slave"

Another implication is being referred to "masculine, violent and dangerous man"

Its all boils down to not so pretty meanings only!

Also it seems now we Indians only use it as a racist slur
