My problem is them remembering her only when they need to glorify either themselves/their rotten offspring. Thats the thing. If you don't care about her, then don't take advantage of her good nature.

Prachi once said all you need is one person and God to face any hurdles in life. She will be content in life. Earlier it was her amma now its her fiancée

Aisa sab kehte hain jab tak sar per nahi aahti.

The words actually matter when you're in the situation.

Then again its ITV so they'll eventually pull through.

So I have seen discussion on why the show gets trps. I think it’s because the youth mostly watch stuff online and the majority of audience are housewives who like watching kitchen politics and wife fighting for her husband kind of things. It’s not always about how big the fan base is because actors like Jennifer Winget have a huge fan base but some of her shows like beyhadh haven’t done well. Also after a while the makers take the audience for guaranteed and the viewers keep on watching the show as it’s become a part of their routine and the cycle continues.

I would like to oppose that.

I myself have someone who no matter what the situation is..makes things better. And yes that person is enough for me if no one else stays in my life.

So I believe in "mere liye tum kaafi ho" theory.

There are always exceptions but generally, alot of people make claims without truly understanding what they are in for. And this is true for everyone, not just couples. I think even parents, siblings and friends make claims, that they undoubtedly mean at the time but many times they don't hold under a real test.

For example your siblings may promise that nothing will ever tear you guys apart or you're going to be there for each other through everything but when the challenge actually hits, it's hard to actually keep that promise.

See, it also depends on the circumstances and the background. In this particular case Ranbir belongs to a really well to do family. He's been brought up as a pampered child. I doubt a person in his position would even know where to find extra linens in their house or have the ability to fix their beds. It gets done for them. All of their basic, day to day needs are catered to by other people.

When all of this is suddenly taken away from you, even if you are with someone you love more than anyone, it takes its toll. Real fights rarely begin because of something big. Majority of the time it's little things that add over time and then something triggers it. It's a series of miscommunication.

Breaking habits and patterns is extremely difficult, even for people who are dedicated and committed to someone in their lives. It takes an extraordinary amount of strength even in the right circumstances and environment but life rarely gives that. Majority of the time you struggle to break your habits while dealing with the shit life, people and circumstances are throwing at you.

That's why alot of people just resort to their old habits or return to their comfort zone, even if they have changed as a person and no longer fit in completely. It's much easier to live in what is familier than to change yourself. And sometimes a moment of weakness in this kind of situation can destroy your entire relationship.

Let's suppose for someone like Ranbir and Prachi, they end up married and living on their own or Ranbir is disowned. He'll need to find work, a place to stay, learn how to take care of himself and help around the house. There are going to problems adjusting to the new living situation, like kabhi pani nahi aahraha toh kabhi bijli chali gayi to society ke paise nahi diye type of situations on top of providing rent, money for transport and food. Prachi will likely be able to find a job more quickly and adjust working in whatever envoirnment she's thrown is. A person like Ranbir is likely to find it harder to get a job and then adjust to it. They are collage students so there aren't alot of options for them anyways. That means living on a budget. The rent in big cities is crazy AF and food costs alot too. You can't eat out all the time so you have to cook. A person like ranbir wouldn't know how to cook. Maybe maggie, tea and egg at most but that's pushing it.

(I've had kids at university come from places like India, Pakistan, the middle-east who had the unique ability to burn water. The number of times i've seen people ruin their clothes in the laundry is enough to put me through a semester in law school if i collected a dollar for it every time i saw it. These are mostly kids who come from well to do families from middle class to elite backgrounds who are used to other people doing work for them)

Ranbir fall into that category. Now, Prachi can obviously manage all of this but Ranbir not likely. He'll try to learn but initially he'll make mistakes and get in the way. Which means Prachi will become more burdened and that will eventually start getting to her. No matter how much you love someone, fighting mental and physical exhaustion indefinitely isn't possible. Then one day you're in a crabby mood, you get pushed too far and you snap, saying something you don't mean, something that gets misunderstood or someone gets offended. Now even if you make up for it, that little thing will somewhere stay at the back of your mind, added to the pile of other hundred little things that irritate, frustrate or exhaust you until one day BOOM.

Words hold alot of impact as do our actions. One moment of anger and frustration can lead you to say or do something that can really hurt someone to the point where it may become difficult for them to forgive you.

(example - Abhi blaming pragya for his dadi's death and calling her manhoos. or Pragya holding Abhi responsible for Kiara's death and vice versa. In these cases the emotions were running high and there was alot of baggage there already. They both brought out Dadi and Bulbul's death, things they had kinda resolved and moved on from but that's what happens when you fight. Everything comes forward. It's another thing all together that Pragya should have held on to the grudge much longer and not given in until Abhi realized his mistake but alas - that's a whole lot of mess that's never gonna get sorted)

So you see, in these kind of situations, making claims and actually living through them can be very different things. Now of course they will eventually pull through cause its TV but in real life lots of relationships fall apart during this time. And even if they get through it, there are times when you're dealing with all the crap where you begin to doubt your own words.

And i didn't even include all the potential problems other people would try or inevitably raise.

Whew, lecture over. This sounded like a lecture, didn't it? 😂

Sidenote - Man if i could put even half of this effort in my actual work i would not be stressing over my essays and potential existential crisis rn.
