No one needed to listen to a girl who decided to be active after being silent for 8 years... they could have held a grudge... could have blamed me for the situation we were facing in the first place...

But instead, everyone came together.. supported not only by voting initially but are also supporting now by participating whole heartedly in everything that is conducted here.

I may take credit for starting the movement, but I'll definitely not take the entire credit for the resurrection we have seen.

Well... I don't know where to start the story from.

Chalo, since I'm free... I'll start right from the beginning 😆.

Once upon a time, when IPK was still on air, the forum was very active. To a level which cannot even be imagined today. Some topics would have a couple of pages filled with comments within a few minutes of the thread being made.

Of course, with such an active forum, there were other issues too. Members would have fights, sometimss even abusing each other. There was a big team of Moderators assigned to our forum still they hardly managed to check everything.

Fir, came the first major blow when IPK was suddenly announced to be ending. Since Barun was leaving the show to have a career in movies, many fans of the show blamed him for It's abrupt ending. No one wanted a character or actor replacement and petitioned for that. Although the makers agreed and didn't replace Barun... the harm was done. People on the forum were divided into Barun's fans who supported his decision.. and Sanaya + Arshi fans who blamed him. There were a lot of fights.. which resulted in strict action by Mods.

Things hardly settled after that. Groups had been divided and although fear of Mods action kept them shut, some arguments would still go on. And when IPK 3 happened, things worsened. Barun was there but Sanaya wasn't... so the 2 fan groups came at loggerheads again. Eventually, due to the negative atmosphere and constant fights, most people left the forum.

Along with all this, there were recurrent issues of plagiarism. So writers also decided that personal blogs and sites would be safer than IF. Due to all the fights, Mods had closed down CC, AT and all such threads.

So, there wasn't much let here... writers gone.. major interactive threads banned.. people had also left. Which lead to the forum seeing lesser and lesser activity over time.

Now I'll fast forward a few years to Sept 2020 where the Mod suddenly dropped a notice that the IPK forum was going to be closed down within some 10-12 days. We all panicked.. because despite the seemingly less activity, there were actually lots of people who used to visit.

I had myself been a silent member since 8 years... I've been here since 2012 but started commenting actively only since this forum closure thing happened. I took the initiative and started a thread, asking other members to drop comments about whether they wanted the forum to stay or not.

Initially, the comments were few, but one of the members suggested that I should add a poll. In the meanwhile, word spread all over Wattpad, Wordpress, Instagram and other sites also.. so the people who had left the forum came back to support it. We gathered 200+ votes in less than 2 days of putting up the poll. Also, some of us, including me, Raji (Savera84), Mysticaldivine, Sarunrabbave, radix, etc tried to contact the moderators and site admin by sending PMs and asking for an explanation about why they're closing the forum. When they said that it was due to low activity, we requested for some time to prove that we can be more active.. also, we showed them the Poll results which indicated how many people were still around. So the admin very kindly decided to give us the chance... and rest as they say is history.

To increase activity, we have had various activities over the few months. Initially, although members did join in, it was still a bit less. But now, more and more old members are coming back plus new ones like you are joining too 😳. So we called this as the rebirth of our forum ⭐️. And now, there is no fear of closure or anything else... we will live here happily ever after 😆.

Haha! I'm going to use this as a base for a post I'll make on 10th Anniversary... documenting the glorious past of our forum 🤣.

New members will get some useful information while the old ones can reminisce some bittersweet memories 😆.
