I think the nastiness and revenge go well with Vansh's character arc. He was always a guy that maintained two different faces with those who he loved, and those who he suspected. On top of that, he was always controlling and obsessive kind.

From the beginning, Vansh was a guy that...

1. Had a gold and diamond smuggling business (in epi 1)

2. Had kidnapped a girl to stay in his house (irrespective of what that girl's intention is)

3. Beat up an innocent man to find out about the girl.

4. Coerced her into marriage by threatening to harm her friends like Sejal (irrespective of what Riddhima did later)

5. Had gone out with a gun when he thought Riddhima has eloped.

6. Time and again had emphasized on his obsession with loyalty.

7. Had mentally tortured his wife into believing he will kill her...only to bring out Kabir (pre-shootout)

8. Paralyzed his wife because she disobeyed him.

9. Everyone in his family hinted at his dangerous side. I remember what Ishani had told Riddhima in epi 71 -

Maine mana ki ab ap dono mein achhi chemistry ban gayi hain...lekin jis din Vansh bhai ko tumhara yeh asli chehre ke baare mein pata chalega...woh sab kuch bhulakar tumhe dafna ne mein do minute bhi nahi lagayenge.

That is exactly what Vansh is doing now.

Problem is, beech mein, maybe bcoz of change of writers, they messed him up completely.

He was in character till Ishani's wedding...despite softening slowly towards Riddhima.

But after that, they completely messed up. Sometimes he behaved like old Vansh (epi 84), sometimes he was Mihir Virani revamped (Navratri), sometimes he was Suraj from Diya Aur Bati Hum (constant dawai lagaoing).

I feel, NOW he has come back to his character.

My peeve is with the lack of logic and partial amnesia of the writers. Vansh seems to have completely forgotten their initial days or that she has taken 2 bullets for him. If the writers had set up Vansh's doubts on Riddhima logically with right facts...then this revenge track would have been better.

Yes, it was nasty as hell. He deserves our gaali for that.

Initially, I thought it was extremely un-Vansh-like as in the past, he had always respected Riddhima's chastity.

But then, given how the guy had played dangerous games in the past with her (Sunny, pre-shootout drama, Vihaan, etc) to get things his way, maybe this SR part is a logical extension of his ruthlessness.

You cannot keep playing the same game with your prey. So this time...he has played up his nastiness.

I agree Amrita..the main problem is with the lack of flow..

Some things really looked forced and out of the place..

But bringing Ridhhima to VR Mansion and proposing marriage thing I wouldn't agree with you..

Coz when Vansh kidnapped her, Ridhhima was rejecting the offer and going back but she said "yes" after Siya insisted her..

And marriage proposal looked like an order but again it was his twisted proposal but he never directly gave her a dhamki that he would harm her dear ones..he just said "koi toh dost hoga na tumhara?" And we all know about Vansh and his twisted dialogues.

At the end Ridhhima agreed to it mainly because she wanted to gather evidence..

All in all,the bottom line is -Vansh never deserved an amazing girl like Ridhhima who just loved her near and dear ones with all her heart!!

Yeah I completely agree...he is not someone to protect riddhima going to do sacrifice balki he is someone who'll sacrifice that person who is creating that threat.....

I completely agree with you Amrita.. Vansh is not so selfless..he is very very selfish..

Ridhhima is selfless and she deserves a thousand times better guy than Vansh..!!

Vansh can kick out anyone no matter how much he loved that person..

But I still feel Ahaana is talking about marriage promise!!

There r 2 instances one the bomb attack on Ridz in Christmas party which was done by Kabir

N second those loose wires in the new year party (which were not much emphasized)

Vansh wasn't involved in it

There is someone in the house who has being constantly spying on them

even during that ladder scene in new year party someone was watching RIANSH

so I am saying this

He isn't selfless but its more of the alpha ego that I will extract my revenge no one else has the right to harm her

thats why he even warned Ahana

Also right now he is pretending to be all evil

in coming next few episodes they will entirely whitewash him n show it was all n act to trap his enemies

they did it earlier too

I still believe there is much more than it meets the eye
