I saw that particular scene again.

I could understood she wanted to show her middle finger only.But restricted herself on NTV.She particularly doesn't have any explanation as to why she used it neither at that point when Arshi asked her nor in front of Sallu.When Sallu asked her she was first stammering(little bit).

When Arshi was telling her perspective to Jasmin,she supported Rubina by saying by using that finger she wanted to irritate Arshi.It was Jasmin's point as to why Rubina was showing her small finger when Rubina used in front of Salman to save herself.

Even when Rubina showed her finger for the first time,she came into the kitchen then Aly said agar wo hota toh ye ungli dikhata (middle finger I think,he did show his finger which one not confirmed but not little one) on which Rubina was smiling.
