Last night, I rewatched the first 50 episodes all over again.

And I realized there has been a huge change in the overall direction, editing and cinematography team of Ishq Mein Marjawan 2, along with the writing department.

Granted the first 3 episodes had super high budget with fantastic drone shots, etc for obvious reasons (like it is with most shows)...but even later, they retained that top-notch direction for some time.

For example, try rewatching the scene where Riddhima entered VR mansion for the first time in epi 5. Or when Vansh gifted her a mobile phone to track her in epi 13. Fantastic cinematography...👏

The camera angles looked like they were handled by a high-budget team. Even in some very trivial moments, whole room from floor to ceiling could be seen...such is the brilliant placement of the camera. 👏

This brilliance reduced gradually with each passing episode...but even then the editing was good for sometime. I rewatched their wedding sequence. It had less jump cuts, less in-your-face shots...the scenes had beautiful continuity. They focussed on the face at the right moments, blurring the background when needed so that the object is in focus. This was also done post-lockdown.

What happened to that brilliance suddenly? Has Mamta run out of budget? Now the current team of editors cant even handle a single dance number! They ruin almost every romantic moment! In intense moments, there are too many cuts with OTT editing.

The only thing that has improved overtime is Rrahul's appearance and performance. Everything else (apart from some other actors' acting) seems to have degraded.

Oh God....this has been my biggest disappointment....the technicalities of first 60 episodes were bang on...editing cinematography screenplay continuity...but now look...

And writer does come up with good plot but when comes to execution ruins big time..like he doesn't remember..

I told it also several times. 1st 5 episodes were on another level.👍🏼 Where are those excellence performances of mamta's crews now?😕

Even ekta's garbage shows had more consistency than this.

About getting vansh's character, May be vansh which comes on my screen is different than yours. & I'm stick to my point I'm not convinced with this whole revenge saga.

Aptly written.

Revenge track was bound to come someday because Vansh isn't any normal person and won't let the thing go easily that his wife married him as a part of a mission. Even his questions were really twisted.... He dint want any information about how Ragini got killed or what actually happened on that fateful day or who harmed his sister Sia......It seemed like His questions were only to justify his revenge mode. Like the fact that Kabir, his arch enemy,was a part of her, his beloved wife's life and sent her on a mission to marry him and destroy him was unbearable for him.

I still hope he actually doesn't mean to get Kabir killed by her but is only testing her limits.

Yup....

I agree I never felt his revenge out of place....he is in very much character regarding that and also Ishani always kind a warned Riddhima that his love is more dangerous than enemity...so its ok to see this darker illogical revenge but what isn't acceptable is writer turned him dumber with these questions,all his statement regarding cliff fall,not done.

If they had shown that despite knowing each and everything about Riddhima from starting he couldn't let go her betrayal in Ragini's matter and keeping in contact with Kabir.....I would've more easily accepted it that its how he works he have to take out that ping of riddhima's betrayal despite knowing afterwards what she had done for him and his family....But making him dumb oblivious to the facts which even we thought quite obvious for a person of his stature to know...he can read body language then how can he not know that she was a spy she thought him to be Ragini's murderer she was there on a mission and of course he married her forcefully she gave into that demand for her purpose is another thing but how can he not know these things is highly not acceptable,I mean here it is not his intelligence even Riddhima herself used to be very vocal about her intentions initially after marriage,she was not even hiding the fact....

All riansh fans, being riansh fan, immj2 fan, first 50days are vital for immj2 success. But vansh character, riansh chemistry (Rrahel acting, friendship brought popularity, fans to immj2. I don't now how true it was makers have ship for riddhima & kabir .But due to riansh fans acceptance and demand(popularity) CV's changed the story plot. Even then in next around 20 episodes(critical/peak phase of show) rrahul sudhir got corona and he can't shoot for approx 15 episodes. Again story/plot continuity got effected. Once vansh back already so many changes, somany loopholes, no closure to some characters. lost some essence . Aroung 150th episode they rush the story so much, one kind clarity created to audience with yesterday episode. This show has somuch potential to explore, brilliant leads, nice director(based on initial episodes), hope director bring back that execution essence to the full in coming episodes.
